I2DT: Get down with the pinkness.

A late afternoon, the sun was already setting over the rooftops of the old manor buildings and large oak trees that surrounded the stately property, easily visible through the large windows of the XUB. All in all a relaxing time, if one wasn't out trying to save the world. Which Colette was not. Instead she was sat at one of the couches, tapping softly on a modestly-sized tablet while making notes on a legal pad. She was dressed in a while long-sleeved t-shirt with a small yellowish character on the chest and a pair of tight-fitting jeans with laces up the sides of the hips. Her shoes were laying between the couch and the coffee table next to her satchel, her sock-clad feet propped upon the table. She took a drink from an almost comically-large water bottle and continued with her research.

A somewhat lost looking girl with brown hair wanders into the XUB, looking around and being stopped in her tracks when she notices the pink slime sitting on the couch. She tries not to stare but fails miserably.

Colette tapped on her pad a few times before reaching to make another note on her papers. During the process she noticed the onlooker, something she was rather used to, even at a school for "different" young adults.

"Allo." She said with a little smile, waving her fingers in greeting. Her teeth were pink. Everything was pink what the hell.

"Oh! Uhm... Hi." she says, rubbing her upper arm awkwardly when she realizes the girl caught her staring. "You're... very pink."

Colette tried to suppress a chuckle but snorted instead, dropping her head for a moment before looking back at Amy. "Zis is true, zank you.

"Do not feel bad. I know zat I am not what some would call a... Plain Jane, is zat ze phrase?"

Colette's face flushed a bit. Not the most flattering description, nor was it the first time she'd heard it or something similar.

"N-not exactly. In my body, my cells are not as specialized. Instead of skin cells, stomach cells, bone marrow, all doing different tasks, I have... generic cells, doing everyzing.

"So, less like ze... slug, and more like ze ameoba."

Colette didn't comment on the rudeness. The girl was actually interested, and she shouldn't be punished for perhaps not asking in the nicest manner. It wasn't the rudest she'd been treated, that much was certain.

"Bones are not as much of a necessity as everyone presumes. One does not need to worry about breaking what one does not have.

"So I take it zat what makes you special does not require you to live in a bucket?"

Colette looks a little more interested in Amy's abilities, vague as they were.

"Ooh! So, you can shoot beams of energy, or somezing similar? Zat is very exciting!"

Colette tilts her head slightly. "Why not? I am already fairly adept..." Colette's semi-clear pink pigtails regressed into her head, her "hair" taking on the shape of a pixie cut while her skin lightened in shade and became completely opaque that looked quite similar to the surface to a stick of bubblegum.

"So bones cannot be zat difficult."

Colette gives her "hair" a little push with the palm of her hand, as one might adjust their own haircut. It's not individual strands; her hair is one solid mass, semi-translucent, and jiggles slightly from the touch.

"It is not laser beams or flight, but it is a talent nonezeless, no?"

Amy looks hesitant for a moment, then closes her eyes and frowns with concentration. She starts to glow with a faint white light, almost unnoticeable in the brightly lit room. But what's less likely to go unnoticed is that she lifts off the ground a little, hovering in mid-air almost a bit restlessly.

Amy does slowly open her eyes once she feels she has things sort of under control. She still looks like it's taking a lot of concentration, but she tries to muster a grin. It comes out only a little bit lopsided.

Colette gave an excited little clap and bounced in her seat, grinning widely. "Incroyable! Zat is very impressive!"

Amy takes a careful breath and focuses. She seems to lose her concentration a bit for just a moment and zips a couple meters through the air in what seems like a random direction. She hits another table and holds on to it, managing to steady herself before she falls back to the floor.

"It's... tricky."

Colette let out a gasp and is on her feet in a moment, closing half the distance to the girl before she says a word. With a hand placed upon her chest she lets out a soft sigh of relief. "You startled me!" She said, her face flushed... well a darker shade of bubblegum pink than the rest of her at least.

"Well, I am certain your control will improve in time. Zat is part of the reason we are here, no?"

Heading towards the pub with Chase in tow, Basil stops abruptly when he notices the two women talking and ducks behind a decorative half wall, cuffing the other boy by the elbow and dragging him down to hide too. "This Will be great." he whispered.

Basil crept up on the two girls as silently as was possible given he was not the one of the pair trained in stealth. He managed to wrangle Colette's shoes out from under the table with his feet and slipped the flats over his toes, but his heels lapped over the back end horribly thanks to his giant feet.

Then he did the more obvious prank of just picking up her giant water bottle and chugging it down like a beer bong.

Given that these goings on were a bit behind her, Colette did not noticed them at first. She had to do a double take at the floating water bottle.

Basil had been waiting until he got someone's attention. Once he had Colette's, he didn't wait for Amy to recognize what was happening, and proceeded to douse both of them down with the remaining water in The bottle.
