Will Stanton sat in the XUB, not touching his drink.

He was staring at an iPad, flipping through news stories. Specifically, the stories from the States about Will Stanton being shot. Not focusing on the kids so much, but on the parents.

He sat there, staring, not touching his drink.

"Hey," Sam says as she approaches.

"Not looking so good there, Will. Penny for your thoughts?"

"Mmm," Will nodded at Sam, gesturing for her to take a seat.

"Will Stanton was shot and killed on Sunderland Road two weeks ago. That's about three blocks from his elementary school, along the main road, near the ice cream and cake shop that's had his picture in it since he was two.

How do I know all that?" he asked, taking a sip from what appeared to be a banana daiquiri.

"I ah... saw the news story. That's pretty weird," she says as she settles in.

Will shook his head. "They didn't mention the ice cream shop in the news story. They didn't know why he was out there alone."

But I KNOW this place. I've seen this street before. I've seen..." he trailed off, scrolling down to a picture of the parents.
