Her shields are good enough that she isn't overly bothered by Haley, but she does give the tiny Texan a weird look.

She reaches out with her own mind and tries to extend her own defenses around Haley to bottle her up a bit. She's not doing a flawless job, but she's trying, regardless.

Carlos noted the reaction, and his smile got a little wider.

"I suppose I'll be off now, then, and let things cool down. I'll see you around, ladies," he said, tipping his head and winking at Haley, before turning to leave and hopefully help the issue.

Haley clutched at her head, red-faced and most certainly not starting to cry thank you very much. Sam's shield at least seemed to muffle the tiny girl's thoughts so only other psychics would probably pick up on them.
