XUB Halloween Party ((Open))

The Student Union was the natural pair to any potential parties at the University. There was plenty of space to move around and an already built in area for cutting a rug and getting drunk if the participants so chose.

There were of course party games laid out in the common areas that weren't too kiddy for the students, including apple bobbing, some kind of scavenger hunt, a few people reading tarot, and a game of 'Werewolf' some of the nerdier kids had suggested.

Done up in black, orange, and purple someone (or ones) had a hell of a time decorating the place festively, leaving no detail untouched. And of course there was candy practically everywhere.

Haley arrived unfashionably early to flirt with one of the bartenders and hopefully get a free drink or two throughout the night (probably much to his chagrin). She was wearing a cowboy hat, a pair of cutoff jean shorts that left very little to the imagination, and a plaid shirt tied up in a way that exposed maximal amounts of midriff and cleavage. It would seem her costume was "slutty cowgirl."

Emilie arrived before Victor, not being the sort to be 'fashionably late' as he tended to be. Made of mostly cire and organza, she likewise wasn't necessarily the image of covered up, but then neither was what she was portraying. With a black, Jackie O wig and thigh high boots, she wasn't built like the character she was pretending to be but she was working a few costuming tricks in her favour to make it appear as if she was a bit bustier than she actually was.

She'd removed her most trademarked objects from her face and done a decent job of covering up the marks from her snakebites, and traded out her usual dark make-up for lavender eyeshadow and 'pink poodle' lipstick. She reached up to check that her crown was still in place as she walked up to Haley.

"Hey girl, what's shakin'?"

Colette entered on the arm of her date, the very imposing and scary visage of death kind of off-set by the red latex lady hanging off of him. Her big pink eyes shone behind her little domino mask at all the decorations as the party was just starting up.

"I must say, for how often I talk down on ze Americans and zeir cooking, I do believe zat zey have outdone zemselves wiz zis holiday."

"HMM?" He said, sounding distracted again. He ran through what it was she was saying a few times before coming up with a response.

"LET'S BE HONEST WITH OURSELVES, YOU'RE IN THIS FOR THE FREE SWEETS."

Colette pouted at the accusation. "Zat is only one of ze zings zat makes zis holiday so wonderful. A big part of it, but still just a part. Would I have dressed up ozerwize?"

"IF POPULAR FICTION TELLS THE TRUTH, THEN YOU MUST DON THE TRAPPINGS OR YOU CANNOT JOIN INTO THE FESTIVITIES AND PEOPLE MOCK YOU ENDLESSLY FOR BEING A DOWNER AS WELL AS THEY WON'T GIVE YOU ANY SWEETS AND YOU HAVE TO SET FIRE TO AN OLD LADY'S DOORSTEP."

Chase walked in, wearing a red and orange wushu outfit, a fake tail, and carrying a wooden bo staff over his shoulder. It wouldn't have been very impressive if not for the rather skillful hair and makeup job giving him hairy and unkempt simian features. The final selling point was his gracefully monkey-like barefooted gait. The dragon tattoo on his right arm didn't hurt either.

"Ah... if it isn't my old friend Mister Death. If you're here to catch me you really should be trying harder," 'Sun Wukong' smirked.

Haley's eyes widened as Em approached, and a grin spread across her face. "Oh. Em. Gee. You look amazing!"

"Thanks! Can't take full credit, Victor's idea. I just did the sewing part.

You look cute too, though dressing like a cowgirl seems like it would be boring for you, considering." She joked.

"IT'S MY DAY OFF." Basil quipped back, assuming Chase had figured out so quickly only because of who was accompanying him.

"MADAME COCCINELLE, I PRESENT TO YOU AN OBNOXIOUS SIMIAN DEITY."

Haley stuck out her tongue at Em and took a sip of her drink that was bubbling and emitting steam from within its Jack o'lantern mug.

Colette twittered softly at this silliness, the girl obviously enjoying herself. "It is a pleasure to meet you! I am ze Miraculous Ladybug, superhero savour of Paris... and ze rest of ze world I suppose." She let go of Basil's arm long enough to strike the hero's trademark pose, which probably didn't help with how well he was coping with the whole "date is wearing latex" thing.

"You boz look so amazing, I must say."

"You keep that dirty thing in your mouth missy unless you planning on using it." Emilie climbed up onto the stool next to the cowgirl and ordered a drink of her own. Getting drunk with Haley would be a decent enough pass-time until Shrinky-Dink arrived.

"So no a scale of one to ten just how shitty are we getting?"

Basil was too busy staring at his date to comment back about how good he might look. it was much more obvious now than it usually was however, thanks to actually having eyeballs of a fashion. Weird, creepy blue glowy eyeballs.

"Maybe I do? You do look kind of extra hot tonight," she giggled.

"How drunk? Well ten is the shitshow that was my birthday week. I puked on the quad. Possibly on someone. So not ten. Maybe a solid seven."

"Seven's a good solid number." Emilie replied back. "Gonna need a couple more shots to get to a seven before you know who gets here though." She stated before adding to her drink order.

"How we doing then? Everything Jake?" She asked, using dated lingo.

He looked at Basil. "You win though. Seriously, what you did with your eyes is creepy as hell."

A girl walks into the party bearing a rather uncanny resemblance to a certain popular warrior queen on television.

What she doesn't resemble is any student those present know, but there might be a reason for that.

Suddenly a bright green luminescence appeared on the floor of the XUB. A crackling, electric thrum grew in volume as the spot rapidly expanded into a large glowing bubble. Two humanoid silhouettes materialized within the anomaly and, with a great sucking pop, the dome disappeared in a flash that left a charred ring around the two time travelers.

"Where the heck did we..." he began when he first saw Death, Sun Wukong, and Daenerys Targaryen. Then he saw the less convincing costumes.

"The Halloween Party! Sweet!" he cheered.

Ashlie for her part, arrived wearing the very convincing costume of a (relatively) crude robotic arm, a thick charger cable stuck in the base of her skull and one eye-socket being clearly artificial along with the stripped-down eye hanging inside like the tiny camera it is. All in all it's a very convincing Terminator costume.

"...well, that's an entrance," the pale warrior queen says in a voice that would probably get her sued for copyright or trademark infringement, staring at the spectacle.

Haley downed her shot and was about to reply when the grand entrance happened. Her shot glass shattered as it fell from her hand and hit the floor and she dropped into a defensive stance, ready to fight. Her eyes widened as she saw who actually showed up.

"Tosh!" she practically squealed.

She'd already knocked back her first when the controlled anarchy of a time hole opened. She starred into bubble until it gave, revealing their long lost cohorts.

Emilie also stood, but for different reasons. Concern knitted her brow as she moved closer to Ashlie. It didn't occur to her for a minute that Ashlie *might have* been in costume as it would be weird for one of them to be, and not the other, not to mention their get ups weren't themed to each other.

"Big Boss?" She asked with a confused tone to her voice as she approached.

Ashlie seems distracted, almost disoriented, which might be expected. In actuality she is spending her first couple seconds reconnecting to all kinds of systems, finding herself immersed in a sea of wireless signals once more. It doesn't take her long to determine the exact time they returned to.

"Only off by a couple of days." she finally concludes, although she still doesn't look super pleased at their surroundings. "The spatial coordinates could be better though." A faint hiss and the improvised umbilical cord detaches and hits the floor with a clank as she scrunches up her face for a second at the general situation they landed in. When she opens her eyes Emilie is stepping up towards them.

"Emilie." she says maybe a little too matter-of-factly. "I'm glad everyone who was hurt during the battle recovered." she says though who the hell knows how she came to that conclusion this quickly.

For all of her magical girl posturing, Colette was pretty quick to cling to the largest and most imposing form when the commotion went down. And what could be more imposing than Death?

It seemed like the norm for this particular Death should have been to cower and hide, but in this instance he didn't for some reason, instead pulling her closer and wrapping his arms around her. Perhaps protectively, perhaps not.

"Haley!" Tosh grinned, moving over to her, "Diiid I miss anything good?"

"Other than a timely second movie night where we don't really watch anything and totally make out," he rambled.

If he was wearing a costume it was The Amazing Homeless Man, judging by the state of his hygiene.

"Well that was new and unexpected."

Colette looked up from the folds of her protector's cloak. Upon seeing who had arrived and that the general mood was a pleasant if concerned one, she relaxed and smiled once more.

"Zis holiday is more surprising zan I had anticipated."

Haley's face fell and then wrinkled up as Tosh approached and she got a whiff of him. "...while I'm glad to see you...uh...you smell like a barn. And that's kinda putting it politely."

She took a step back, and flashed him an apologetic smile.

"Most of these things are superficial." she says, quickly realizing how ridiculous that sounds. "Cybernetic systems are hard to maintain in medieval times. Nothing that can't be swapped out or repaired was hurt."

"Sweetheart you are dressed like a cowgirl, barn smells are your 'thing'." She quipped at Haley.

When Emilie realized we actually were all on the same page on the situation, she stopped trying to pretend like the headmistresses eye wasn't hanging out of the socket.

"But... you're hurt. You want like... some duct tape or something? Works on flesh people, so must work on metal people. Oh wait!" Emilie started digging through a small, nondescript black satchel at her waist and pulled out some bandaids.

"I have Mickeys!"
