Early Evening in the Garden of Good and Repelling Evil

Tereza settles back into her comfortable role behind the XUB bar. She doesn't often get to work evenings, but they needed a fill in and she was handy. Of course, this is apparently a night where business is slow and they have to do bar inventory. So she stares at a tablet between customers, counting bottles and supplies and putting them into the system.

After a little while, a relief bartender comes in and Tereza hands off to him for a bit as she makes her way over to the small stage next to the karaoke machine. She picks up the guitar she'd stashed there earlier, taking a moment to tune before plugging it into the sound system. There's not many people here at the moment and for that she's a little bit grateful. She's about to step out on a limb, just to see if something she can do and at least there's minimal witnesses if she falls. She clears her throat, strums gently, and before she can think better of it, she starts to play and sing.

In that mystical ever dark corner located in every bar around the world slipped a certain fey. She sat silently, listening as her drinks arrived.

Tereza finishes the song and then adjusts her tuning a bit from the smattering of applause. "I've got one more," she says, "And then you won't have to put up with me." Some chuckles in the audience and Tereza begins to play again.

The quartet of shot glasses at the table becomes an octuplet before the songs end.

There's a few more people in the bar now than there were when she started and there's a few calls for another as she finishes along with the customary shout of "Play Freebird!" Tereza smiles, looking at the people. The lone light that the bartender had turned on for her makes it hard for her to see much beyond the stage, but she can certainly hear. "Okay, one more. So this one's a little strange, downright weird even, but what isn't around here. I like it enough and it's one of the ones I can play by heart," she says, adjusting and picking in a minor key. As the song starts to unfold, she suddenly begins focusing entirely on the guitar or the microphone.

What was once 8 is now 12 and the empty sisters were beginning to out number the filled.

Tereza smiles and puts the guitar away. "Thank you all for putting up with me. I'll hopefully be back sometime soon," she says, hopping off the stage.

"You have improved. Your choices were well suited for the audience and you gave a strong performance. You have become quite a bard."

Tereza turns at the sound of the voice, taking in the glasses, "I'm just trying it out, seeing if it's something I can even do. I appreciate the compliments."

"And you know I will never lie to you so you can be assured in your skill thus far." She lifted a shot glass in salute and quickly downed it.

"Trying to drown something?" She asks, turning a chair to sit backwards on it at the table.

"I have it from a very reliable source that this is a preferred method among humans for dealing with a traumatic event. There are several and I am testing the validity of each."

"I know it didn't get me anywhere particularly good," she says, snaking one of the glasses that hasn't been emptied yet.

"If that is the case you should perhaps have an in depth conversation with your...girlfriend." The contents of the glass was clear and the scent reminiscent of rubbing alcohol.

Tereza sniffed it and then downed it, "Nice bait, but I'll let it sit." She smiles at Vivienne. "I think I'm through being angry."

"As you wish." After several rounds her coloring began to ripple and swirl, ribbons of fair flesh moving under and with in the fey.

To her credit, Tereza seems to be going out of her way not to antagonize Vivienne by doing anything like scooting closer to Sam. The wolf is apparently starting to fall into hunt mode for some reason. "So she wants to hit me and swear at you, among other things."
