[Social] New Kid on Campus

"Yeah. You'll wanna talk to Miss Kinney about that, she's in charge of training and such. She'll probably wanna see what you can do. Hope she just runs you through a training course and doesn't make you go up against her."

[Thraxion Ord'Rakar]

If there were protocols, Thrax wasn't aware of them. Earth wasn't exactly in anyone's jurisdiction, not that any of the empires would care one lick about Earth's sovereignty if they decided it was. But it was probably best he didn't share that worrisome information. It wouldn't change anything.

Talk of combat testing quickly ended his atypical introspection. "I need to get on that myself. I've gotten rusty since I left home. I wouldn't actually mind seeing how my training stacks up against a skilled Earth warrior, once I get my fighter's legs back under me," he said, clearly excited by the idea of probably getting his ass kicked.

[Naku Futomi]

"Miss Kinney...." he repeated just to make sure the name was remembered. "You still have time to let us into the Danger Room today? Might not hurt to at least know where it is," he said, knowing that there might be a chance to meet Miss Kinney.

He gave a look to Thrax with a smile. "I bet you'd give anyone a run for their money. I'm not sure I'd last long against you, but I might be able to run away from you for decent amount of time," he said hopefully. He wasn't certain, but it would be fun to test out.

"Tomorrow, yeah? I can show you where it is real quick though. Should probably let you get settled and not make Thrax carry around his luggage all day." she says as they get up and make their way out of the student union building.

"It's just past here." she says, leading them down the road past the union and rec center. After about a hundred meters of path flanked by lightly wooded terrain they reach the cliff over-looking the ocean. There's a lighthouse standing on the stretch reaching out furthest into the sea and next to it a squat concrete building that almost looks like a bunker. The short ramp leads down to a large metal door with a large stylized X as part of it's design and locking mechanism. Near one corner of the building is a large radar dish or perhaps a 'small' radio-telescope.

"Most of the place is underground. Aside from the Danger Room there's engineering workshops, a briefing room, equipment lockers and stuff. And a hangar that opens out of the cliff. It's probably closed right now and you can't really tell it's there, even if you know where to look."

"I've actually been inside. I'm only supposed to go to the hangar but I've gotten lost on the way a few times."

He flashed a roguish grin, trying to cover the fact that he actually has gotten lost. Although he'd be lying if he said curiosity wasn't a factor. "That's my story and I'm sticking to it."

[Naku Futomi]

Naku lifted his eyes up to the X. His eyes lingered there before looking up to the rest of it. "Mostly underground, ey?" he wondered as he looked down to the road below them.

Soon enough he just looked to Amy with a grateful grin. "Well, thanks for letting us see where to go. Meet you here tomorrow then?" he wondered, looking to Amy as if he wanted to ask something more. He hesitated though, likely to miss out on any other deeper questions for some time.

"Yeah, sure." she says, oddly nervous about having committed to demonstrating the extent of her power, much less experiment with whatever Naku's power might be capable of. "See you then!" she adds and let's her power spread through her. Better to show it now and give him a chance to bow out without it being awkward. Either way she gets to avoid the immediate reaction. Her eyes and hair begin glowing a bright yellow-white and even the rest of her seems to give off a faint shine. But before they can get a better look (or worse, say anything) she takes to the air and flies off towards the school with enough acceleration to cause a sudden gust of wind.

Thrax impulsively grabbed the gust with his powers and used it to levitate into the air. "See you at the dorms!" he exclaimed before flying off with an excited whoop. He was going to like it there.

[Naku Futomi]

The one left was waving to them both. "See you later!" he called out after both of them, eyes on the one who glowed more. The energy, he told himself... that's why he was interested. Sure, it had nothing to do with her smile, nor her nose. Definitely not her eyes nor her hair....

Naku let his hand fall to the back of his neck as he let out a sigh. He soon rubbed the back of his head furiously. "Get ahold of yourself!" he called out to no one but himself. Letting his head hang, he chastised himself once more for even dreaming of moving on before fixing his hair, adjusting his guitar, and taking the long way back to the dorms.

This was gonna be one heck of a ride.
