“I don’t disagree,” Tereza says, patting what remains of the seat.

"You need a helping hand, or this a bonding moment between you two?"

From other people, that might have come out snarky. Will was...Will was weird.

"You know there's actually a place in Maldon that does motorcycle seats. I stumbled across them when I was looking for people who did leather repair."

"I want to get the engine back up and running first, but I wouldn't say no to some help," Tereza says with a smile at Will.

"Right", Will said, cracking his knuckles. "Let's see what's up."

He squatted over, shrinking down as he did so to get an up-close and personal look at the guts of the bike. "Oof. Basically strapping an entirely new engine?" he asked in a high-pitched voice, reaching up and grabbing on to the frame.

"If I can't salvage some of the other bits, yeah," Tereza says. The bike showed all the signs of having been mistreated by whoever its previous owner or owners had been. There was a distinct lack of preventative maintenance so quite a few of the moving parts were completely seized. Some of the electric parts were probably okay though.

Will reached up between a couple of the moving parts, squeezing his hands into whatever gaps were available and trying to pry some of the seized parts apart. "Whoever...did this...should be booked...for cruel...and...unusual..." he grunted, bracing his feet against the frame as he dangled and pulled.

"I wonder if there's anyone else on campus who knows how to fix motorbikes. I've seen a scooter about, but it's probably not the same."

"Not quite. Though the principle isn't *that* far off," Tereza says as one of the parts slowly begins to shift with Will's prying.

"ASHLIE...NNG!...probably does. Takes care of the Motor Pool, did some adjustments...NNG!...to me one time. Had some trouble afterwards, but unless your bike is another closeted shapeshifter..." he trailed off, trying to pull one of his hands free.

"At least, judging from that statue he gave me."

"I am capable of meaning multiple things! That's kind of the whole point of a double entendre," Will joked, pronouncing it "DUB-ble on-ton-DRE."

"And if you're saying I need to be more diligent about gathering first-hand evidence, well, be careful what you wish for," he said, winking up at Tereza.
