Haley had made a quick exit from the Point after the Will v Will match, fuming over what she'd thought would be a friendly scrimmage turning into something that left a lot of people upset with each other. She also did a lousy job controlling her emotions during the fight, and especially after, which meant she was still sloppy. Still a liability to everyone around her.

Losing didn't help either, as much as she'd rather not admit it.

She stormed through the grounds and into the woods replaying everything she'd done wrong in the fight, in the past week, in the past months, and it fueled her frustration until it boiled over and she let out a roar that flattened the trees around her in a thirty foot radius that looked like a meteor had struck the earth.

Nailah still had bits of Colette on her so she'd missed Haley taking off while she took a quick shower. Stepping out of the Point she looks around to see if there's any sign of her friend anywhere when the sudden noise of a dozen trees being smashed to the ground gives her some idea. She's tired and her head is pounding with a faint but insistent pain, but she takes flight anyway until she can see the devestation in the newly created clearing and the small blonde girl at the center of it.

"Where was this Haley 20 minutes ago?" she jokes as she slowly circles to the ground, but her tone is a little hollow and the joke falls pretty flat. She's just not sure what else to say and making a stupid joke feels... safe.

Haley had, by the time her friend arrived, sunk to her knees, her head bowed, shoulders moving up and down slowly in deep breaths.

It took her a second to register her friend's presence; she finally looked up wearily and nodded, grunting a vague greeting of sorts.

"Yeah...guess I'm not much use unless I'm pissed off..."

Nailah lands a couple feet away and stops. "Hey, come on, you know that's not true. I was just kidding around..." she says, taking two steps to close the gap between the two of them and sitting down on her haunches to get closer to Haley's level.

“Do I?” Haley sighed.

“I’m a liability. What if I’d done this in the dorms?”

"But you didn't. Cause you're reigning yourself in. When's the last time you crushed a car into a square, huh?" she says, giving Haley's shoulder a light nudge with her fist.

“That was literally like. Just last spring or summer,” she moped.

"Okay, bad example. But it's, like, a process. I can see you get better at this at least eight times out of ten." she lies. She didn't actually look into the future but Haley doesn't need to know that.

"Really?" She asked, too unfocused to catch a lie with her telepathy.

Haley sniffled, then exhaled sharply, "I'm glad we were on the same team...seemed like I really pissed 'Reza off by being on...our Will? Whatever he's gonna be called now?'s team."

"When they're like that I swear anything peeves them off. If they really hold a grudge about this, especially after winning, then I have some words for them. Mean ones."

“Maybe you’ll even use a naughty word? Like damn?” she cracked a smile, teasing her friend.

"Very funny. I can't help it that some of us were raised with manners." she teases, sticking her tongue out at Haley.

“You’re just jealous I can burp way louder than you,” she smirked.

"Yeah, that's definitely something to be proud of. Texans..." she chuckles, shaking her head.

“See. Denial just means you’re really jealous.”

She sniffled and pushed herself up to her feet. “I love you, Nai. You are my best friend and I don’t know what I’d do without you.”

Haley gave her friend a bone-crushing hug.

Nailah let's out an "Oof." that also serves as an excuse for her awkward silence as she blushes a little.
