"Alright, well... basically imagine a generic developing nation with great weather. A mixture of obsolete and cutting-edge infrastructure. Social programs like medicine, school, that's all free, so it's very socialist in that way. But it comes at a price. There's a lot of focus on your powers, the people with the better powers tend to get the better jobs and higher status in society. Those with mere physical mutations and no unusual abilities are basically a lower class. There's state censorship and some freedoms are denied with the explanation that it's necessary to focus on getting the country in proper working order. So... some good, some bad. It's not Utopia, but it's not the Soviet Union either."

"Well it's not all bad, it's just not as good as it could be. For a lot of people, it's a lot better than what they left behind." Jez scrunched her shoulders up a bit. "I think it's important not to let nationalism and jingoism cloud how you see your home and the rest of the world. So I'll be the first to admit the faults of where I'm from."

Jez blushed softly at the compliment. "You really think so? The only problem is that the more of me there are, the harder it is to make them all do stuff. It's all my brain pulling the strings, they can't act on their own, so too many and we start fumbling around."

"Well I guess it depends on how complex a thing you want me to do. Actually doing fairly complex stuff I have trouble with any more than five, and even then one or two are going slower or easier."

"Well, there's not really that much to show, I mean..." Jez leaned forward and got to her feet, but at the same time she was still sitting down. A second self had just easily slipped out of her like a ghost stepping through a painting.

"I can't juggle or anything. So there's not much to show off." The standing version said, stretching her arms a bit. Behind her Jez was scooting over to sit beside herself, two girls sharing the bench as the third stood in front of them before she stepped aside.

"I can juggle." Said the most recent addition.
"No, you can't." The original said, or at least the one sitting where the original had been.

"Oh man, this is amazing! I bet you get so much stuff done with so many of you. You could prepare for classes while out having fun! Hey, what happens if one of you goes to the gym? Does the rest of you get fit too?"

"It's not that amazing. I mean, we can't fly or shoot laser beams or anything. We're just good at multitasking." The girl sitting on the left side of the bench places some cheese on a piece of bread and poked at the other girl's cheek, who scrunched her face a bit before relenting and opening her mouth.

"I gotta admit, I have done that... or stuff like that. But the thing is, it's all me calling the shots. So it's like... paying attention to two computer screens at once. I could stay in bed and still go to class, but I'm not really having a restful sleep, you know?"

"I haven't tried the gym yet, maybe I should." Said the standing one. "But, well mental stuff is instant. What I see and know, we all know. But let's say I eat a hot dog. The rest of us don't get any nourishment from that or satisfy our hunger until we're all together again. So it could be really easy to over-eat if we all have something."

"Well, we'd all know about it, but only the one getting hurt and the - I guess you could call her a puppet master, she'd feel it too. So if I broke my arm, she'd feel it too." The standing Jez pointed to one of the seated ones, who in turn shook her head and pointed to the other one on the bench. "But when we came back together, her arm wouldn't be broken. So maybe that rules out the gym theory. Mental stuff is transferable, but not physical."

"Ugh, yeah, that sounds awful." she shudders. "Can you jsut drop the doubles or do they have to get back to you?" she asks, looking around at the different Jezabelles, not really sure if she should pick one of them to talk to or jsut kind of tlak to all of them.

The three of them stared at Nailah in unison for just a moment, just long enough for it to be pretty creepy before they were out of synch again, one checking her phone while the other got some more cheese and fruit ready to eat. The standing one covered her mouth to stifle a giggle.
