"Oh. Well... I'm sorry I blasted you." she apologizes again, just in case. "Do you need to have that looked at or... wait, how's... is the jacket part of you!?"

[Shane Marsh]

"It is. A handy use of my powers is that I can grow my own clothes."

[Amy Myers]

"Isn't that... kinda like walking around naked?"

[Shane Marsh]

"Only in the strictest sense. It's not like I'm exposed or anything. Though I would still have to bundle up for cold weather."

[Amy Myers]

"Well no, you're not indecent or anything but doesn't it... feel exposed?"

[Shane Marsh]

"Strangely no. It's more... energizing... having the sun touch as much as it can, and feeling the soil under my feet. It feels... right."

[Amy Myers]

"Well, good for you. That sounds... nice?"

[Shane Marsh]

"It's definitely helping me get used to being..." he said, motioning to his body, "... this."

[Amy Myers]

"Yeah, I can't even imagine."

[Shane Marsh]

"It's soothing. I was angry when my body was changing. Now, I'm starting to feel almost bloody liberated.

"But enough about me. I, uhh, see your powers are difficult to control," he said without judgment.

[Amy Myers]

"Oh. Y-yeah, it's... a bit much. Like it spills out at the slightest provocation. Except it's not a spill, it's more one of those pressure washers."

[Shane Marsh]

"You know... maybe one of the various boffins wandering the halls could think of something to help."

[Amy Myers]

"What... what's a boffin?"

[Shane Marsh]

"That's British for a practitioner of the scientific arts," he answered.

[Amy Myers]

Amy squints a little. Why did British slang have to be so impenetrable that she can't tell if he's pulling her leg. She finally settles on it being an actual term.

"Mostly they just told me to practice. And it's not like this place hasn't been helpful!" she quickly interjects herself. "But it hasn't been as much or as easy as I'd hoped, I guess."

[Shane Marsh]

"Nothing that matters is, or so people say. Of course, saying that doesn't help anything. Sadly, trial and error is all we really have. Though my powers never came with a risk of causing an explosion. But, hey, that's what the Danger Room is for."
