September 9th: Walking the grounds

[Charles Franklin]

"Yes?" Sean asked/stated.

[Violet Vilhjalmsson]

"You're funny," Violet says. "We're mutants. We don't need to get involved in that whole rat race. We're better than that."

[Charles Franklin]

"I mean, I guess," Charles said sounding rather unsure.

[Violet Vilhjalmsson]

"Besides, I just throw most of what I steal in the river anyway," Violet says offhandedly.

[Charles Franklin]

Charles just looked aghast unsure if Violet was pulling his leg or not.

"You're kidding, right?" Charles asked. "I mean why just throw it into the river? At least leave a map with vague notes leading to it somewhere."

Violet laughs, "Because it's hilarious?"

[Charles Franklin]

"Why is throwing stolen stuff into the river hilarious?" Charles asked.

[Violet Vilhjalmsson]

"Are you serious?" Violet asks. "It totally ruins it! It's like, now no one an use it."

[Charles Franklin]

"I guess," Charles said sounding unconvinced of the hilarity.

[Violet Vilhjalmsson]

Violet rolls her eyes, "Why? What do you think is funny?"

[Charles Franklin]

"Monty Python is pretty funny," Charles said.

[Violet Vilhjalmsson]

"Well, yeah, but that's just television," Violet says.

[Charles Franklin]

"Up north laughter freezes in your throat and chokes you to death," Charles said not really maintaining a straight face.
