Stranac

A man in a Xaviers-branded sweatshirt and ballcap, pulled down over his face, walked slowly through the campus, gradually making his way across the quad from the classrooms towards the dorms. He didn't seem to be in a great hurry, but he also wasn't taking time out of his day to smile and wave at anyone, precisely.

"Hey!" Nailah goes out of her way to greet the man in a friendly voice, trying to mask her suspicions about the obviously shady person.

The man did not react as if he had heard Nailah, though he did take a slightly different path to maybe try and avoid her.

"Okay rude?" she says, changing her path to try and intercept the man. "Hey, did you hear me?"

With Nailah now taking active pursuit, the man slowly came to a halt, and turned to look at Nailah.

"Yes yes, hello," he said, with a thick eastern European accent.

"Not from around here, huh?" she asks, glancing at his University clothes with a raised eyebrow.

"No, no, not from here, yet. Am looking around," he said, nonchalantly.

"Cool. I can show you the sights. You a new student? Or got a kid attending...?" she adds, unsure of the man's age.

"Am interested in university layout. But no, is fine, find own way around. Much thanks," he said, nodding, and starting to walk again.

"I'm sorry sir, I didn't catch your name...?" Nailah asks as she hurries after him, not so easily shaken off. Something strange is clearly going on.

"Okay, what are you doing here. You're not a student, Kristoff." she says, stepping into the man's path.

"As said, am looking at grounds. Very interesting place you have here; I wish to sight-see the tourism?" he said, suddenly stopping as Nailah cut him off, and taking one half step backwards.

"Not really a... tourist attraction. Especially the dorms..." she says, gesturing the direction he'd been going.

"Why are you really here?" she demands, narrowing her eyes in suspicion.

"Is private matter. Is no concern of yours, thank you, good day."

And with that, he started sprinting in the opposite direction, away from Nailah.

Nobody who runs away is up to any good. Nailah breaks into a sprint to chase after him.

"Hey! Who are you? What are you really doing here!?" she shouts after him.

With surprising agility, the man in question vaults over a bench and keeps sprinting -- it's a full-on chase, with the man attempting to get things into Nailah's way to slow her down.

Unfortunately for the man, Nailah has a not-so-secret weapon and with plenty of run-up she simply spreads her wings and takes to the air with a couple determined beats of her wings before diving into a swoop to try and tackle the man's lower back and bring him down.

Nailah crashes into the man, sending both of them tumbling to the floor.

This may not have been the first time the man had been tackled, or he had some sort of experience thereof -- he rolled with the impact, trying to get free and back to his feet before Nailah could.

Chances are he's more trained than Nailah, but she does have some experience scrambling to her feet and tries to make a grab for the man's ankle before he can get away.

Nailah does manage to grab the man's ankle, which keeps him from running.

That does leave his OTHER leg free, and he tries to kick Nailah straight in the face!

Nailah turns her head, letting a sturdier part of her skull take the brunt of the kick. Her vision swims and her head rings but she doesn't let go, claws on her fingers extending instinctually and sinking into the man's ankle for a firmer grip.

The man cried out as Nailah's claws sunk into his ankle -- that seemed to slow his proverbial roll, as it were, and he fell back to the floor.

"Is for paper. Symkaria Ekspres. Am reporter."

He reached into his pocket and pulled out his wallet, popping out an ID card which identified him as Kristoff Vukovic, a reporter for the Symkiara Ekspres.

"Oh shoot! I am so sorry! You just seemed like you were snooping around and I guess that's what you were doing, but, like, not in an evil kinda way, huh? Why didn't you just say so? Is your ankle alright? I shouldn't have done that..."

Kristoff nodded. "Then perhaps it is you to whom I must speak," he said, his English getting notably better (albeit not perfect).
