Toshiro Narumi wrote:"Werewolves and vampires aside, we have one thing," he said, tapping his belt buckle. Who wears a belt over a X-Uniform?

"This should nerf the mood rays in an area around me."

"It's a start, at least..." Will sighed.

"I'm sorry for all of this."

"And I'm... sorry about blowing up back there. You aren't just some problem to solve so I can win good guy points and I need to stop treating you like one."

"Now...may not be the time to talk about that. Now is the time to work out the way we're not going to be stuck as stupid boring normal people for the rest of our lives.

I guess we all need to stay close to Tosh, just in case we're ambushed getting back to his place."

After calming down enough to actually be useful, Leo put Ainsley down and promised that he'd talk about why he was upset later before putting on his stoic face and hurrying after the others.

"There's... one thing I can think of, but it's a long shot and it might be dangerous."

"You know Cailleach broke out of Muir, right? Even though she was wearing an inhibitor collar."

Jez had fared decently well, though she looked dehydrated and a bit weak. Probably because a portion of her mass was now six piles of human-dust near the Administration building's main entrance.

"Oh God, no. He can't... there'll be pandemonium. So many powers at once, the fires alone will be too many to stop. We have to stop him."

Someone else wasn't doing so hot. While other shifters had experience with things like having bones and lungs, someone else's X-gene had been active at birth. So they were getting a crash course in a little lesson called "how to breathe", and apparently they were a slow learner.

"I mean, that would check out.

The Morrigan has grabbed me back from the pearly gates once before. Stands to reason her counterpart could...do the same."

Chisaki had been spending her time getting those having a rougher time of things get situated when she stumbled upon Colette, gasping violently for air like a literal fish out of water. She didn't know who Colette was.

"Calm yourself. Breathe. " She said, taking the other girls hand and laying in on her chest so she can feel the rise and fall of her own breath going in and out.

The girl's blue face started to get some colour to it, even if it was rather pale compared to many of the other students, framed by some wavy brown hair and the tears that had run down her cheeks. It took some time, but her breathing became less laboured and more natural. Her limbs twitched and spasmed at times, as if over-reacting to different stimuli.

"M-merci, Chii-tan." Her voice didn't sound quite the same, but the nickname was probably clue enough as to Colette's identity.

"Colette-senpai...." She replied in realisation of who she had found. "Keep breathing." Was the only thing she could think to say.

Basic biology was beginning to take over, but the hard part was that her brain kept thinking about it. There was a thudding in her chest and a rising and falling, and an emptiness in her midsection, and so many strange sensations. And now that her eyes weren't watering as much, she could see those strange not-pink-enough arms before her. Confusion, fear, and elation were odd emotions to have at the same time, and for her it manifested as gross sobbing.

"I will summon Benson-senpai. " She resolved, deciding that what Colette needed was someone who could stay with her, and Chisaki couldn't fully commit to that.

The best she could do was escort her to the safe place the resistance was co-opting.

She let Colette lean on her as they walked, supporting her the only way she knew how.

"He found a cat." She added awkwardly, trying to distract Colette from what was happening and upsetting her so greatly.
