I2 - Material Girl

[Ashlie Minamida]

"Because it won't work. You cannot create an alloy by hammering two pieces of metal together. You will only damage the metal." At least her metaphor-processes seem to still be intact.

[Will Stanton]

"Not if you hammer hard enough! Come on, let's go try it."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"If you hammer hard enough you will destroy the metal in order to create something new. I can't let you do that."

[Will Stanton]

"It will be fine, trust me!" she said, tugging on Ashlie's arm.

[Ashlie Minamida]

Ashlie doesn't budge, something she's fairly good at.

"Mr. Stanton, I am not going to let you 'hammer' around in my programming."

[Will Stanton]

"No, trust me, I've got friends who are experts in that sort of thing," Will said, shifting her muscles to try to budge ASHLIE.

[Ashlie Minamida]

"And who are those experts?" Ashlie's servos are straining against Will and eventually she budges simply because she doesn't particularly feel like being toppled, taking a couple steps to follow Will.

[Will Stanton]

"Oh, all sorts of computers on the military network."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"You have access to the US military network?"

[Will Stanton]

"I was PART of the US Military Network!"

[Ashlie Minamida]

"It's unlikely they have sufficient intel on Dr. Minamida's work to be useful, but it's not entirely impossible."

[Will Stanton]

"Oh, don't worry about that. You like being happy? I'm sure we can make you happy all the time."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"Happiness is not a relevant factor to running efficiently."

[Will Stanton]

"Of course it is! What's wrong with you?"

[Ashlie Minamida]

I already told you. I am missing my base personality module."

[Will Stanton]

"And why don't you want to FIX that? You're missing a thing! Shouldn't we try to FIX the thing?" Will said, incredulously.

[Ashlie Minamida]

"Trying to fix the unfixable is a waste of time and resources. If you wish to do so with your own time I won't stop you."

[Will Stanton]

"Then come on, let's go."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"My presence is unnecessary. Let me know if you find a promising approach."

[Will Stanton]

"I've found one! We link your brain up to the internet and download things!"

[Ashlie Minamida]

"You have an idea where to look. What you're suggesting would almost certainly result in data corruption at best and a massive breach of campus security at worst. I cannot allow a datastream to potentially gain control of the systems I have access to."

[Will Stanton]

"Well, it's better than moping around, like you're doing!"

[Ashlie Minamida]

"I'm not 'moping', Mister Stanton. I'm working."

[Will Stanton]

"No, you're moping. I recognize all the tell-tale signs."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"I am incapable of moping at the moment. That is part of what you claim is the problem."

[Will Stanton]

"No, you're CLEARLY moping. You have all the tell-tale signs."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"You're entitled to your interpretation, even if you are incorrect."

[Will Stanton]

"I am totally NOT incorrect. I know enough to know when something's malfunctioning."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"If I could mope then I would not be malfunctioning." she notes, taking Will's hand and pulling it off her wrist with the determination of, well, a machine.

[Will Stanton]

Will's wrist elongated as she stubbornly tried to keep her hold. "No! You're so broken you don't realize your broken. I'm afraid you're going to have to come with me."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"Release me immediately." she says, her free hand reaching into her pocket.

[Will Stanton]

"Not until you listen to reason!"

[Ashlie Minamida]

When Ashlie pulls her hand back out she's wearing one of the gloves Rob has made her.

"I apologize in advance but you are not listening to reason." she states before she fires a tazer-round at Will.

[Will Stanton]

"GahahhAHahAhAhHAHAHAHH" Will shouted, as the electricity shot through her body.

She fell to the ground, and quickly lost any definition of a person, resulting in a mass of clay on the ground of the quad.

"The infirmary has been informed, in case you need assistance." she points out before she walks away, pulling the sleek gauntlet off and placing it back in her pocket.
