Sept 1st - Convocation

Dressed in military dress blues, Will Stanton was almost bounding from place to place, taking in all the sights and sounds. So many people! This was nothing like what he was used to and, to be quite frank, he was a little overwhelmed. He was stepping in, hearing a sentence or two of a conversation, and moving along to the next one.

Molly applauded Xavier's speech, and made a beeline for the refreshments table. After all, a growing girl needs to keep up her strength, right?

Carlos applauded politely, though he honestly hadn't been listening too closely. He stood up and stretched out in the sun, and started heading back towards some open space, navigating the crowded commons quite fluidly, with the practiced air of someone who knew how to work through a crowd, weaving and cutting as if he could read the crowd dynamics.

Seeing a group gathering near the food, Haley went back for seconds on a few items and joined. "Doesn't everyone want laser eyes?" she said holding up her plate with TK and plucking her drink out of the air to take a drink of it.

Will started to weave his way over, likely drawing a few started looks as he limboed under some outstretched arms and walked through a couple conversation partners.

Will's shirt was missing most of the medals or insignia, perhaps making the identification harder.

"I'm Will! It's nice to meet you Sam," he smiled. "Lots of sandwiches, and banners and ribbons. Everyone dressed up. Never seen anything like it."
