"No, we can't. Cute Italian guy stole my hard currency when I wasn't looking. Just as well, met a fun Italian woman the next night that spent a couple of days showing me around."

"That brings back memories. Her name was... Sofia, I think. Dark hair. Eyes you could get lost in. Three nights in Rome."

"Still looking for that..." A strange confused look crosses her face, but vanishes almost immediately. "... one though. Fun's fun, but getting to the point that I want more."

She frowns, watching Wanda for a moment.
"What she did to you is cruel."

"I know you can't remember her. That's what she did. I'm not going to press you on it and ruin an otherwise nice evening."
"It just hurts to see the signs of it."

Wanda manages to mostly hide her frustration and nods, "Yes, I'm quite enjoying it. Good drink, good company. It's part of what you need for a great evening. Dancing is good too, but this really isn't that sort of establishment."

"...you're making this sound like something other than business," she says as a faint flush travels across her cheeks.

Wanda smiles at her and makes a gesture like she's fanning cards on the table, "Oh, I'll admit to being curious from a certain point of view. But I'm not about to abuse whatever this... guardian relationship is for my own personal... amusement. If things go that way, it's cool. If not, I don't want to push it." Another sip, "But... if you decide you want to go dancing, I wouldn't say no to that."

"Curious. I suppose that's a word for it. I guess I'm curious as well."
"A night out dancing seems like a good way to satisfy curiosity."

"Curiosity nearly got me killed in Sweden, so it can't get much worse than that," she teases.

"Which would you rather do, glide along a ballroom floor in perfect triple time, separated a distance that would please the local puritans?"
"Or would you want pulsing lights and a beat that shakes in your bones, something that really gets your blood up?"

"Oh the latter definitely. Ballroom is tolerable, but not much more than that. I had to watch my mother and father practicing and it was more fun to watch than to do."

"Fair enough," Wanda says, "Although some of us are trying to relearn some things we shouldn't have forgotten, but that's kind of hard when they were forgotten generations ago."

"Nothing is ever fully forgotten, and no age is ever just one thing."
"I probably missed my calling writing fortune cookies talking like that, but it's as best I can put it."

"Those hopeless Swedish girls." She finishes her second drink, but doesn't motion for more. "Any animosities I need to know about? Toes I shouldn't step on?"

"...better than most."
"What I should say is that for my line, I'm... first. Since the dwarf made me as I am. It's hard to lay that down, but it's also unsatisfying when those I bite are weak."

"Part of the irony of your curse, I would guess, intent on keeping you lonely. One the folklore doesn't mention. Werewolves don't even have the 'destroy the sire, destroy the line' myth that clings to vampires. At least not in the typical context."
