"Which part?" She raises a challenging eyebrow, "I assure you all this paperwork is in order. If you'd like, I'd be happy to contact our solicitors to verify the paperwork for you."

We're fining them each 200 pounds and releasing them into your custody. Try to have some discipline at that school of yours, yeah?"

"We'll make sure they pay their fines and that there's some appropriate discipline for their actions," she says, trying to reassure the police officer. "The sooner we can process their release, the sooner I'll have them out of your hair."

"I'm not sure, legally, they can fine me," Will pointed out, 'helpfully'.

She spares a glance in their direction before she goes back to waiting patiently for the officer to come back to release them.

It didn't take too long.

There were some papers to sign -- add forgery to one of Natalie's ongoing cornucopia of skills! -- and some side-eye and a bit of admonishment, but both Shari and Will were soon released into her custody, along with newly-printed citations and fines.

Natalie pinches the bridge of her nose, glad their are programming restraints to keep her from doing it too hard. "Fine, then I don't have anything to say to you either. Except I had to take time out from trying to fix this whole thing," she makes a waving gesture in front of her face, "to come bail out both of your drunk asses." She opens the back door of the car, "Now get in."

"Not if I'm Ashlie's designated representative it's not," she says, getting obviously irritated, "God, I'm trying to help you two, but if you don't want my help, then I'm not going to force it on you. So either get in the car or start walking back, because I'm on borrowed time here."

"Oh, now she thinks her situation's a problem." Shari says to Will. "I think I will walk back."

She doesn't seem to stick to her resolve very much and is mouthing off amazingly much for someone without one.

"Fine," Natalie says, "You know what, Shari, you can just get stuffed. I'm wasting what little time I have standing here arguing with your drunk ass. You want me to say it? You were right, there are issues. Now, piss off." The voice breaks a little on the last part. She gets into the driver's seat and shuts the door, starting the car but waiting for Will to get in.

Once Will is in, Natalie puts the car in gear, backing up and driving away. It's probably weird to hear an 'emotionless robot' crying, but Natalie can't stop it from happening, even if the rest of the body's not exactly following along with the usual reactions.

“Yeah, yeah, I’m only running out of limited memory space in a body that doesn’t belong to me. My ex-girlfriend, one of my few close friends, hates me so much she’d rather walk than even be in the same car with me,” she says, “Makes me wish I’d never woken up from cracking that simulation.” She rubs at her eyes despite that being unnecessary.

"Yeah, well, that's great for you I guess. Doesn't work that way for me," is all she says as they pull up to the gate and her access lets them through. She pulls the car into a parking space and opens her door. "Will? Just make sure she stays okay, alright? For me." She slides out of the car, shutting the door behind her as she starts walking towards the Point.
