Nailah manages to grab a vacuum-sealed bag containing a syringe and a vial of liquid before hurrying out of the container.

Unfortunately, that's when two flashlight beams from opposite sides of the ship focus in on the pair.

Something, possibly guns, are in the off-hands of each man. It's hard to see just what in the glare of the flashlights, but probably nothing good.

"Uh-oh, spaghetti-o."

Nailah says, freezing for a moment. Then she turns and takes off. "Run!"

There's a spark from the object in the hand of the nearer man, and two charged leads launch from it towards the bigger target, Drake.

Drake believed his scales would stop the leads from connecting and turned to book it.

As Drake turns, he has the decidedly unpleasant sensation of both darts hitting him in his fleshy wing, sending a terrific amount of current coursing through his body.

He cried out and took a few staggering steps before dropping to his knees.

"Fudge!" Nailah shouts and, with the package of MGH tucked under one arm turns around to reach out to Drake with one hand to help him up.

"Take them down!" One of the men shouts. Another taser fires in Nailah's direction.

Drake seemed to try to take her hand, but it could have been a spasm.

Grabbing his hand She tries to yank him forwards in the same motion as she's trying to avoid the taser firing at her. It's not the most elegant move, lacking the strength to really pull it off, but she's not going to leave Drake behind.

Drake managed to regain enough sense to cooperate with being pulled along.

Though Nailah doesn't have enough strength to lift Drake up, she does manage to get him moving. Maybe moving too much, as the leverage sends both of them tumbling towards the edge of the deck.

But at least Nailah doesn't get tased.

A couple things flash through Nailah's head. Unable to lift Drake into the air the both of them go overboard and into the water. Between wet wings, soaked fur and a tased Drake it's too much trouble just to stay above water and weapons are pointed at their heads from the ship.

That won't do, but they're already going over the edge. She lets go of Drake's hand and she tears a syringe out of the package under her arm, jamming it into her thigh as the two fall off the boat and out of sight.

And then a four-legged sphinx rises into the air with a couple of beats of her wings, holding Drake by the collar of his shirt. "If you can spit fire then now would be a fantastic time to."

"On it..." he said muzzily. He took a deep breath and sprayed fire.

The men hastily back away from the jet of flame, unable to go after Nailah.

Nailah meanwhile has quite a rush. Her power doesn't hurt anymore. She can parse out multiple paths without difficulty. It feels like this is how her power is supposed to work.

"Whoa... this is crazy!"

With the stream of fire buying them a couple moments, Nailah banks away from the ship and heads out across the water, aiming to put some distance and natural barrier between them and the ship before finding a spot at the outskirts of town to set Drake down and land herself, awkwardly stumbling for a moment as she staggers around on four legs.

Drake straightened out his jacket and tried to suppress his embarrassment at being carried like a helpless kitten.

"Are you... okay? I've heard some real horror stories about that shit."

"I feel fantastic! Like, everything's so much clearer now. And I feel like I could tear out trees!" she grins, striking a pose.

"I got... like... thumb-adjacent things..." she says, lifting one paw and looking at the fifth claw that's not quite an opposable thumb.

The searchlight casts out over the waters trying to find where they went, but isn't quite reaching where they've taken refuge.

"Not gonna lie, it feels pretty dang fantastic. Like everything makes sense now." she says, one hand gesturing at something only she can see.

He realized something and sighed. "A shame you only nabbed one dose then. I'd love to go full dragon for a few hours."
