The News Is Out

[Narrator]

"I think that young lady was doing the drugs."

"I don't think there's drugs that do that, Granddad."

[Sean Hall]

Emilie would meet up with Sean, the weight of Victor not even breaking her stride.

"Keep walking wizard, he might call the cops."

"Did something happen?" Sean asked matching Emilie's pace.

[Emilie]

"I had to craft a pretty big lie to lure him out of the back room and I'm pretty sure he thinks I escaped from Muir now."

[Victor Freud]

Victor let himself drop from Emilie's boot once they had turned the corner, resuming his normal stature as he matched their pace. "More like Thors Park, if my map app is correct."

He tapped on his phone to bring up recent photos, passing it to the pair from over Em's shoulder.

[Sean Hall]

Sean looked at the phone and pulled the 'memory crystal' from his pocket.

"I found something, but we need an open space to look at it," Sean said, "Seems like something's a bit bent at that shop though."

[Emilie]

"Back to the lab magic man, or do I need to scout out a field?"

[Sean Hall]

"Either way, really," Sean said, "Just need space enough for us to walk through the memory and see what you two think."

[Victor Freud]

"What are, like, the chances of us getting lost in the fae wilds?" Victor asked. Apparently he was a little cautious about magic. Even if he had stupidly traveled to other dimensions twice before.

[Emilie]

"Let's take it into an empty space on the University grounds. I don't want randos around if something goes awry.

And if we step into another dimension, the nerds will have woop woop machines to see it and drag us back again."

[Sean Hall]

"I make no promises, but the crystal should only project memories," Sean said as he led the others to a more secluded part of the campus.
