After some hesitation at the school gate, Leo successfully fought his initial fears and the pair arrived in town. On the street he was unusually quiet and watchful, noticing everything... especially the stares. No amount of expectation would have made it hurt any less and it showed plainly on his face. And some anger too.

"So what sort of trouble are we looking to get into Mate?"

"I didn't really think that far ahead. Getting myself out here was most of the plan. There isn't much to do here aside from parks and a few rinkydink museums. Though my mom would have liked those."

"Okay," he said, taking out his phone and running a search.

"We've got... military history, military aviation, a Museum of Power with old machines and stuff, an art gallery, and assorted local history museums."

"Well... If I had to guess, idiot protagonists are more relatable. The average person isn't a genius, so it's an easy out to make the hero a dumb shite. Then you feel like a superior to them. Or at the very least an equal."
