DT: A Tale of Coffee and Fey

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

On the way to the cafe, Vivienne had Aaron telling her about his home.

"So, the earth there is red?" She asked as they found a table for two outside.

[Aaron Davis]

"Some of it. It gets all slimy when it gets wet and it tends to bake into a solid mass when it's dry."

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"I may know of its' mirror location. Gritty and the air is heavy and wet." She smiled.

"In Underhill, it is a red bog and a very grumpy water witch lives there."

[Aaron Davis]

Aaron seemed to process that, "Yeah, I could see that. It's not a pleasant place to be in the middle of the summer."

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"My mother checks on her from time to time, I have heard there is a great deal of screaming involved. Family gatherings are so complicated."

[Aaron Davis]

"They're just as complicated on this side of existence as well," he said, leaning back a little in his chair. "My dad and my grandmother still get into it occasionally. He says she's never been happy since he married mom."

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"A familiar opinion in regards to my mother and father."

[Aaron Davis]

"I think they keep ties for my sake and my sister's sake. Otherwise, I think they would have stopped talking to each other. Just reading between the lines on my part," he said with a shrug.

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"That is actually a useful ability to have when dealing with fey." A waiter came and took their order.

"How are you liking England?"

[Aaron Davis]

"I like it. A lot of people in my social circles dream about going to England and I get to be here for several years at least."

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"What is it that calls to you?" She asked as their food and drinks arrived.

[Aaron Davis]

"Just the history, the tradition, the sense of having a past. The US has some history, but it's not quite the same."

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

She watched him a moment. "You are drawn to the old ways. The old magic. I did not think I would met someone like you. I had hoped, I knew the belief must still be held within some, but to actually meet someone who does, it is most refreshing."

[Aaron Davis]

"What I'm interested in is probably a highly romanticized version of what you're talking about, but I suppose your statement holds some truth."
