On the way to the cafe, Vivienne had Aaron telling her about his home.

"So, the earth there is red?" She asked as they found a table for two outside.

"Some of it. It gets all slimy when it gets wet and it tends to bake into a solid mass when it's dry."

"I may know of its' mirror location. Gritty and the air is heavy and wet." She smiled.

"In Underhill, it is a red bog and a very grumpy water witch lives there."

Aaron seemed to process that, "Yeah, I could see that. It's not a pleasant place to be in the middle of the summer."

"My mother checks on her from time to time, I have heard there is a great deal of screaming involved. Family gatherings are so complicated."

"They're just as complicated on this side of existence as well," he said, leaning back a little in his chair. "My dad and my grandmother still get into it occasionally. He says she's never been happy since he married mom."

"I think they keep ties for my sake and my sister's sake. Otherwise, I think they would have stopped talking to each other. Just reading between the lines on my part," he said with a shrug.

"That is actually a useful ability to have when dealing with fey." A waiter came and took their order.

"I like it. A lot of people in my social circles dream about going to England and I get to be here for several years at least."

She watched him a moment. "You are drawn to the old ways. The old magic. I did not think I would met someone like you. I had hoped, I knew the belief must still be held within some, but to actually meet someone who does, it is most refreshing."
