I2 - The Irish Conquer The English (Food)

Though many students might prefer going to London, Maldon provides closer amenities for those without a car or unwilling to pay for a cab. Several pubs are available, though the Rose and Crown is notable for having been where Excalibur spent a good deal of their downtime. Also of note is the Plume Library, home to many rare books.

After hopping off the bus with Sam, Kayla looked around, taking in the high street. "Buffet would probably be good. I always get hungry after having to burn."

"It's not without its benefits," she said, spying a Chinese buffet place. "There we go. My treat?"

As they walked towards the buffet place, they passed a cafe with an outdoor seating area. Seated at one of the tables were three young women whose facial features and body types were identical. They looked like they were trying to hide that with hair styles and different clothing though. Sam could feel them watching the two red heads as they passed before their attention moved somewhere else.

"So, did you go to the Yanks' Institute?" Kayla asked, apparently oblivious to the oddness.

"...what?" Sam asks, shaking off the distraction.

"Oh, I didn't go there. Too far away. They sent me to Scotland."

As they were led to a table, they passed a large, muscular man eating by himself. A waitress was asking him if he wanted another glass of water. "Da," he said with a hefty accent, before correcting himself with a less noticeable one, "I apologize, I mean yes. Thank you."

As they were seated at their table, Kayla glanced at the four empty plates on the man's table. "Guess we weren't the only ones with an appetite," she whispered.
