"Damage Control dude."

While there was internal struggle going on, Emilie reached out and starting chugging again, masking any sort on confusion or panic she might display outwardly.

[Victor Freud]

"Oh, I thought you meant District of Columbia."

[Trev Anderson]

"Oh! Those guys that clean up after superpowered dust-ups?" Trev asked. "I hadn't thought about that...though I seem more suited to making a mess than cleaning one up. Guess I could make rubble more...rubble-y and easier to haul away at least."

[Emilie]

After finishing the gulp, Emilie set down her glass as collected as usual.
" Right, exactly. Demo work is a crucial part of their operations. It's thankless work, but the money is good.

I had a boyfriend who worked there." She explains.

[Trev Anderson]

"Seems like steady employment at least. We do seem to attract trouble, and trouble usually means property damage." Trev nodded.

[Emilie]

"Well it's not all clean up in the traditional sense either. It's not an X team, but there's still a fair share of trouble for those picking up others messes. " She mused.

[Victor Freud]

Victor had gone a little quiet, his hand over his mouth as he sat deep in thought.

[Trev Anderson]

"You think any harder you're liable to sprain something there, Vic. You okay?" Trev joked.

[Emilie]

"He's reconsidering his career options. World's tiniest acrobat doesn't pay as well as world's tiniest salvage man." She laughed, trying to get the attention off Vic.

[Victor Freud]

Victor snapped out of whatever funk he was in. "Oh, sorry. I guess I was just thinkin' about... well I never bothered to join with any of the teams 'cause I didn't think I'd be suited for that kind of stuff. I never thought about other sorts of stuff I could be involved in."

[Trev Anderson]

"Dude, you could totally hang on the teams. They let my fat ass go on missions."

[Emilie]

Emilie took another swig, keeping her opinion on this to herself.

[Victor Freud]

"Yeah, but you guys would be good at fighting robots and aliens and stuff. I can fit into little holes or something. My job could be done by a stick."

[Emilie]

" You should spend less time focusing on what you can't do and more time focusing on what you can." She added in her shithouse philosopher fashion.

[Trev Anderson]

"Sticks can't radio back what they see in small holes. Or rip components out of a small machine while it's running." Trev nodded sagely.

[Victor Freud]

"Camera wand and a bullet. Boom, I've already been replaced." Victor gave a smug smile and leaned back. "I mean it's fine, not all of us can be Captain Canuck. Maybe I'll focus on acting instead. Do you know how much money they could save of Thomas the Tank Engine by hiring me?"

It seemed that the boy was unaware that the show was no longer made with miniatures.

[Emilie]

Emilie sighed, folding her arms over her chest and leaning into the table. She hated how Victor *always* sold himself short, but giving him a lecture in front of Trev wouldn't do either.

She left it at - " You can do anything you put your mind too. Even conducting miniature trains. You might even be the miniature freight yard manager some day."

[Trev Anderson]

"Way more useful on the teams than a loudmouth, s'all I'm saying."

[Victor Freud]

"Well... I'll think about it."

[Emilie]

"Just let me know." Emilie responds vaguely, finishing off that pint of hers seemingly no worse for wear.

[Victor Freud]

"You've got an in on the squad or somethin'?" Victor was about half finished his pint, nursing it compared to the others. It wasn't a sarcastic question, he legitimately knew very little about what Emilie did.

[Emilie]

"No. But if yer going I am too."
