"Just trust me!" she grins, suddenly much more self-assured as she heads back to the dorms with Onyx. After a quick stop at the dorms to pick up the chip they're on their way to the Point. To... do something. Still, she's leading the way as if she totally knows what she's doing.

Onyx follows after Nailah, a bit unenthusiastic and pouty, but she seems to be willing to swallow her pride and follow Nailah's advice.

Nailah occasionally glances back at Onyx and kinda wishes she actually knew what she was doing so she could say something encouraging, but she'd just have to be happy with the result afterwards. Hopefully. They find Miss Kinney overseeing people cleaning out rubble and pieces of robot from the hallway. She doesn't look super happy and Nailah looks a little hesitant and nervous as she hands her the GPS chip, although it doesn't show nearly as much in her body language.

"We... found this in Onyx' backpack."

X-23 glowers slightly as she takes the chip and holds it up to look at it. "Lemme see."

Well, it did look a little like a GPS chip, but to a professional like Ms. Kinney, it would be obvious that it was actually just a regular circuit. Judging from the size, it might have come out of the back of a watch?

Onyx grips Nailah's arm as Kinney inspects it.

"We should get leave. Now," Onyx whispers urgently.

"Yeah this is no tracking chip. But thanks for adding to the pile, not like we have enough techno-garbage everywhere yet." she says as she flicks it across the hall into one of the piles of junk with her thumb. "You should help pick up some of this crap instead of dragging in more."

That's not really what Nailah expected. When her power had led her to show it to Miss Kinney she'd been sure it was a tracking chip and that she'd recognize it as from some crime syndicate from Madripoor or... something. Instead it turns out she'd been right feeling dubious about Onyx' paranoia.

"Uhm... S-sorry to waste your time, Miss Kinney. We'll... we'll be going. Sorry again!" she stammers out as she lets Onyx pull her towards the exit.

Once they're out of range of Ms. Kinney, Onyx let's go of Nailah. She still looks tense.

"That was not Ms. Kinney," Onyx says. There's something like panic in her voice.

Onyx grabs Nailah's hand, but this time her grip is weak. She's shaking and her skin is cool to the touch.

"It is a trap. The entire school. Everyone..."

Nailah just wraps her arms around Onyx and holds her close for a moment. She feels disturbingly fragile for someone she kind of idolizes a little bit. "I... I don't know. But Maldon isn't like Madripoor, yeah? It's safer here..."
