"Wouldn't hurt, right? They might not want to lend it out but... we're a pretty resourceful bunch."

Jez took the bag of clothes and her card. "So where to now?"

"Up to you sis. I'm mostly a tag along now unless you are jonesing for some grocery shopping."

[Jezabelle Sherlock]

"Well we could take a break to get a cup of tea or coffee."

[Emilie]

"Sure. But fair warning, I can't be held fully responsible for the shit that happens after I ingest caffeine."

[Jezabelle Sherlock]

"Right, coffee for me, tea for you. Or maybe milk and cookies." Jez held the door to the shop open for her shopping buddy and gave a wave to the clerk.

[Emilie]

"Tea can be caffienated. Sometimes more so than coffee!" She added, bouncing along the sidewalk with Jezabelle.

[Jezabelle Sherlock]

"Right, so milk and cookies it is then. Though maybe we should cut out the sugar too."

[Emilie]

"Maybe I'll just have a hissy fit because I feel like it mommy. Then what? eh?"

[Jezabelle Sherlock]

"Oh no, I'm not falling for that one. You're just trying to trick me into giving you a spanking. And I'm not wearing nearly enough leather for that."

[Emilie]

"I thought the stereotype was that I *give* out the spankings, not get them."

[Jezabelle Sherlock]

"Maybe, but I'm a good girl who doesn't deserve them. And I don't take orders, I give them."

"I don't think this relationship is going to work out. Not in the kink department anyways." She laughed.

Jez pouted and snapped her fingers. "Darn. I guess I'll have to move on to the next contestant."

Emilie tilted her head. " Maybe the invisible kid stares at me because he thinks I might punish him. Maybe you could try there?"

Jez gave Emilie a little look.

"Do you take any medications? Like for schizophrenia?"

"Nope. I got a lot of fucked up internal problems, but bein' a certifiable nutjob ain't one of em. And trust me, I have been psycho-analyzed many many many times." She chuckled.

"Don't get it twisted, I got thinking problems too. Like a lot. But not ones that are fixable with drugs or counseling or so easy to pinpoint with books n' shit."

[Jezabelle Sherlock]

"Oh, wow. I'm a real asshole. Sorry." Jez flushed.

[Emilie]

"What? Nuh uh." Emilie shook her head, ombre coloured waves bouncing.

"If I thought you was bein' an asshole, I'd let you kno'.

I am curious to know what sounded so off the track though."

[Jezabelle Sherlock]

"The invisible friend part. It sounded like when people say their dog told them to kill their husband or something."

[Emilie]

Emilie stared for a moment before bursting out into very loud laughter.

"I meant that freaky librarian dude I was talking about before! I don't need to make up imaginary friends to fuck you. If I wanted to fuck you, I would also want all the credit, not give it to alternate personalities."

[Jezabelle Sherlock]

Jez's face flushed a deeper crimson than Emilie's hair. "Who said anything about fucking? I... I never...."

The girl realized she had been speaking a little too loudly when she drew some glares from a pair of old ladies in woolen caps, which didn't help to lighten her complexion at all.

[Emilie]

"Oh is that not what we were joking about? My mistake. My mouth and mind gets away from me sometimes."

She was pretty certain that was what they'd been joking about, but Emilie was the sort to drop a topic entirely when it was becoming embarrassing for someone else... She was also the type to joke it off as well, which she proceeded to.

"Wouldn't that be amazing though?

'Man I found this totally smoking hottie, but just as I was about to seal the deal, Maude my invisible otherkin friend that commands my thoughts and emotions from inside my brain jumps out and becomes a total coitus-filtcher. I hate Maude, she is such a b.'
