She gives a slight shrug. "It's different for everyone anyway. They just call it all telepathy the same way you'd call a physical mutation the 'same'. Sam's got a weird balance in her mind that leaves her overly cautious until it tilts too far in one direction. You've got outbursts of it where you blare your thoughts out at anybody around just like you have outbursts where you knock the furniture around. Trinity's constantly distracted because her mind's in three places at once. Mine's the little voice in the back of your head."

"...sorry about the other night..." she mumbled bashfully, reddening at the mention of outbursts. "I'll totally pay for a new desk chair since I smashed yours after that nightmare."

"It's fine. Seriously. Point is, it's all different. I don't know if it's just how these things work or if our personalities shape it or, hell, if it shapes our personalities. You know, in case you ever want to avoid nightmares by lieing awake at night, questioning your sense of self."

"I've tried that," she smirked. "It just makes my control even shittier when I'm awake."

"My meager possessions appreciate the lack of introspection." Miriam says and who knows whether she's joking or being insulting.

Haley chuckled a bit, not really sure what to make of her roommate.

"We should do this more often. We sleep with each other but I feel like we barely kno--"

Haley reddened, "--phrasing...."

"You're not really my type, but the night's young." she teases her, lifting her glass at Haley before taking a sip.

Haley laughed and raised her glass at her roommate, "To long nights."
