Great Scott

Though many students might prefer going to London, Maldon provides closer amenities for those without a car or unwilling to pay for a cab. Several pubs are available, though the Rose and Crown is notable for having been where Excalibur spent a good deal of their downtime. Also of note is the Plume Library, home to many rare books.

Oddly, the main movie theater in downtown Maldon seemed to be having some sort of throwback going on.

They were showing Back to the Future, A View to a Kill, Police Academy 2: Their First Assignment, Rambo: First Blood Part II and Beverly Hills Cop. An eclectic selection of films, though there's some quality there. There didn't seem to be any ad in the paper or anything explaining what the point of such classic cinema was.

A few days later, a horse-drawn carriage rolled through town. No one seemed to think this was odd.
