Maldon is a small tourist town with a small commercial harbor and a strong fishing industry. The downtown area has a decent selection of shops and a number of pubs, among them the Rose & Crown, often frequented by Excalibur back in the day. The population is friendly but somewhat wary of the University and the mutant it attracted but most people tolerate them. Some shops even appreciate the increased business. The outskirts grow increasingly rural, especially to the north and west. The Mansion and University is situated in the southern part of town and at most 10 minute bus-ride from downtown.
