Tereza leaned back against the wall outside the Rose and Crown. She'd gone in this evening for a few minutes and had a few drinks, but it got to be time to move on. She loitered for a bit, fidgeting with her jeans and tugging at the sleeves of her leather jacket. She pulled out her phone and messed with it for a moment before putting it back with a look of mild frustration.

Shane walked down the sidewalk towards the pub, green face barely peeking out of a black hoodie. It was his first time out since his metamorphosis, so this was his idea of taking baby steps.

Tereza eyed Shane briefly, but it wasn't something specific to him. She seemed to be giving everyone that look tonight.

"Waiting for someone?" he asked as he came close.

"Yes..." She sighed, "No. What brings you to bustling Maldon?"

"Found I was getting a bit of the old cabin fever, so I decided to try and get over being green in public. And possibly experiment with getting properly smashed."

"Well, this is a good place to do both," she said, "That mostly describes my activities tonight."

"You look far too sober for that to be accurate," he smirked.

"Don't want to get too smashed," she said, "Not really looking to get into a fight and I might if I get too drunk."

"That I can relate to," he laughed, "So it's a good thing for everyone that I probably can't get drunk anymore."

"I'm sure drunk me could find something."

"That's the problem with being good and properly drunk."

"Eh, I don't really want to get that drunk. But finding out if it's even something to bloody worry about is worth it, yeah?"

As they entered, the bartender looked up from what he was doing, "Tereza, thought you'd gone home."

"Friend of mine showed up and I decided he shouldn't drink alone," she responded, taking a seat at one of the tables. "I'll take another of my usual." She looked at Shane, "And I'll cover his first round."

"Let's start with a Guinness and pray alcohol doesn't make me shrivel or something," he said, pulling back his hoodie as he sat.

Seeing him pull down his hood, Tereza took off her jacket, the veins on her arms glowing softly. The bartender sent their drinks out. Tereza's was clear. "This would probably make you shrivel. I'm fairly certain that's what it's doing to my liver."

He took out his smartphone and put it to his ear.

"Oh, hello Tereza's liver... what? Speak up mate, I can barely hear you over that bloody thumping. Oh, okay."

He pretended to hang up. "It said 'screw you too'," he smirked.

"I'm more likely to go to a heavy metal or rock concert than a rave, but I can't say I'd never go to a rave."
