"I'm pretty sure she was there," she said, gesturing gingerly with her arm, "so you're safe on that count."

"Just thinking about that lunatic being that close to me when I was a kid gives me the willies," he shuddered.

"Well, if we see her again, we have some idea of what to expect," Tereza said. "I'll make sure the on-duty X-Men are aware we may have a rogue lingering around Maldon."

"Good idea."

"So... think I should sign up? Give helping out a go?"

"I think you'd be good at it. You kept your head and mixed it up tonight and that's usually a good place to start. And there is a certain amount of satisfaction in being 'one of the good guys', even if other people don't always appreciate it."

"I've no problem with pissing people off for their own good," he smirked.

"Then you'll fit right in," she said with a laugh. "It seems to be the thing we do."

"And punch things," he grinned, "We can't forget that."

"Yeah, the punching stuff is pretty cool. Don't let Ms. Kinney scare you. If this is something you want to do, go for it."

"Then it's settled," he said with a nod, "Playing hero it is."
