There was a possible security breach in the dorms.  There was an antique knife in Will's door.  Analyzing it now.  Was there anything caught on camera?

He then set about getting a full 3D image of the strange knife and inspecting everything he could see with his naked eyes.

[Narrator]

Well, with his naked eyes, there were some gems, and some intricate gold work on the outside--it was maybe ceremonial? Something like that?

As he examined it, he had an unpleasant suspicion that the knife had a less-than-positive history. No doubt Will's behavior was influencing that opinion. He then began an image search on various angles to hopefully identify its origin. While that ran he set up some lab equipment to take and test samples of the gems and metals of the knife.

[Narrator]

The lab equipment wasn't particularly useful here--there was real gold, and real gems, and quite a bit of value. It could be pawned for a pretty penny.

However, scanning the historical databases proved a bit more successful. There was a faint pattern on the blade--a blade which the computer determined was a skean. The pattern appeared to be Fege Find from In Lebor Ogaim--more commonly known as Fionn's Window.

Upon reading that, Tosh froze, breaking out in gooseflesh. Fionn couldn't really still be alive, could he? And what did Will have to do with it? Then it hit him; his connection to Sam, Sam's Morrigan aspect that didn't feel delusional, the murder of this world's Will Stanton, even the Breach. It was all connected.

This time he called Ashlie. And in a hurry.

[Ashlie Minamida]

"Yes Tosh, I saw. I'm pulling up the camera feed in the hallway." comes Ashlie's voice from the other end.

[Toshiro Narumi]

"No, I identified where the knife... no, who the knife once belonged to and it can't be a coincidence. It's Fionn."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"Great. I suppose it's possible he founded some sort of cult. Maybe he even survived this long himself. Either way it's worrisome that someone got this close to one of the students, even if it's one who I suspect is impervious to a mere stabbing." she says, redoubling her efforts to go through the security footage to see if she can find who jammed the dagger into Will's door.

"Do you think this means Will is who he wanted me to... kill?"

[Ashlie Minamida]

"Possibly. Or this was intended for Samantha's door. This is exactly the kind of danger that is fostered when people start believing in supernatural nonsense."

[Narrator]

"Great. I suppose it's possible he founded some sort of cult. Maybe he even survived this long himself. Either way it's worrisome that someone got this close to one of the students, even if it's one who I suspect is impervious to a mere stabbing." she says, redoubling her efforts to go through the security footage to see if she can find who jammed the dagger into Will's door.

After a few agonizing moments of going through footage--a couple seconds, from Tosh's point of view--ASHLIE was able to find footage of the event in question.

A cloaked figure, because it's ALWAYS a cloaked figure, had scaled the wall of the dorms, expertly sneaking around between students coming and going, before entering Will's hallway.

Whoever it was didn't seem to be worried about being caught by security cameras, but was attempting to avoid running into any people, as he slammed the knife into Will's door, and dashed off with impressive speed.

[Ashlie Minamida]

"A cloaked figure moving between people. Possibly someone with a mutation that lets them avoid detection by others but didn't consider cameras. Or isn't aware their ability doesn't fool them. Possibly enhanced agility, considering they scaled a wall and disappeared again fast. Not much else I can get from this, unfortunately."

[Toshiro Narumi]

"I think Will knows something about this. He was acting entirely too evasive about the knife in his door."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"There are enough similarities in this universe that he might have knowledge of things he otherwise wouldn't." Ashlie agrees. "Do you know where he is now?"

[Toshiro Narumi]

"No, I don't. Last I saw he was in his dorm room."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"We should probably find him then. Hopefully this mysterious assailant thinks a dagger or similar weapon is enough to hurt him."

[Toshiro Narumi]

"Yeah, hopefully. Let's talk to Sam. She seems to know him better than any of us. Besides, she might be a target too."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"Unfortunately. I'll call her. Meet me in my office as soon as you can."
