"I... I don't know. The sample should have given you the right dimensional properties. It should have
worked, damnit!"
She pulls out the doohickey and fumbles with it for a moment, almost dropping it with shaking hands before she manages to get the small piece of clay inside of it out.
"I got both of you, this isn't right!" she says, looking around frantically until she spots the spectral analysis chamber on the nearby benchtop and rushes over to put the sample inside.
Muttering to herself she turns it on and rapidly scans through as the results come scrolling down the screen.
"Pattern's right, genetic sequence is the same, dimensional signature's the same, how..." The machine suddenly beeps loudly as lines appear in red.
