"I'm not raging out damn it!" he exclaimed, groaning from the effects. It did, however, snap him out of the flashback.

"The light isn't having it's expected effect. Suggest we go to plan B."

"No, no, give me one more chance."

"Leo. Calm down. You're still in class. You are not in any danger."

The stronger light of the beam finally regained its foothold and his panic attack began to ebb.

Breathing calmly, he said, "I'm good now, I think."

"Very good, Leo. Now, can you tell me what happened in there?"

"When they came at me with the shock sticks, I remembered Muto's goons using them on me. Between that and the smell pulling at my instincts... I saw red. And then when you started questioning me from there like he did, I panicked," he answered without much emotion beyond a lingering sadness.

"Well, we'll be sure to work on that in the future.

For now, stay in here as long as you'd like, and then you're free to go on to your next class."

"Okay..."

Unable to stand remaining in the room any longer, he left as soon as possible.
