"There's a few who just turn into... like, one animal. And some of them can change size. There's also Will, who I think specializes in objects."

Murphy's eyes widen. She had never imagined there were so many amazing people in the world.

"Wow."

"So yeah, shifting classes ought to be fun."

"Very fun," Murphy agrees.

"And it... makes you feel less weird. At least it does for me."

"Weird?" Murphy asks in the tone of someone who didn't really understand.

"Well, knowing that there are other people that can do what I do, or something like it."

"You get to feeling like a cuckoo egg left in some other bird's nest, aye?"

Murphy shakes her head.

"What is, is."

"...you're right. I mean, in my head I know where I came from."

Murphy nods. She looks happy that Sam understood.
