Xaviers!

Natalie, wearing one of her usual outfits but now better fitting, sorts through some scattered parts on one of the workshop tables. She selects several and begins mounting them into the various movements pieces on a pair of armor suit legs on the table. She tilts her head and the knee joint flexes in a relatively natural motion. She taps her chin and then removes the added parts, exchanging them for new ones and repeating the process. This seems to satisfy her and she knows, moving and performed a similar action on what appear to be the arm pars of the suit. The flexing in those is a bit more complex, but her smile seems to indicate that she's pleased with how that test turns out.

There is a gentle knock at the door before Vivienne carefully stepped inside.

"Excuse me, I am looking for a Natalie Denisov."

"You've found her," Natalie says, turning around to see who's asking. "You're... Vivienne, right?"

"I am." She smiled and stepped farther into the room. She was being uncharacteristically 'small' in her movements, fully aware of the amount of space she was taking up in the cluttered workshop.

"I am glad I found you. I wished to thank you, for your part in freeing us from the technological illusions."

"I just did what I could," Natalie says, though her smile says she's pleased at the compliment. "I wouldn't have had my opening without you."

"Who would have guess my innate ability to destroy complex technologies would actually become useful one day? I hope our presence did not damage too much."

The comment about destroying technology seems to make Natalie suddenly nervous. "Any damage you did was outweighed by the damage Conduit did to the systems. We're working our way down the list."

"Good to know and do not worry, I do not intent to touch anything in here. I am afraid I may have already caused trouble for two others' projects in this department while looking for you."

"It's... not the projects, although please don't touch those. I'm... kind of technological at the moment."

"Are you? How amazing." She smiled and quickly clasped her hands behind her back.

"Is not the mixing for organics and technology a sort of...Grail Quest?"

"It is, but we're still not sure quite what this is. I'm... sort of not in my right body at the moment."

"You seem to be suited to it well enough. Is the one there the right one?" She nodded towards the legs on the workbench.

"This is just a project I was working on before the holidays. Depending on who you ask... the right one is still in the infirmary."

"I see. I would think you would be the one to ask, since it is still yours, yes?"

She shrugs noncommittally, "I'm... not sure what the right answer is there honestly."

"That is something I am familiar with and a trait I admire in humans. Your gift for self determination."

"Well, I didn't really have much choice in ending up like this. It sort of just happened. And it's cost me a good bit in the process."

"That is very familiar as well." She smiled.

"But now you can choose what you do about it. Stay, find a way back? Attempt to reclaim what you lost?"

"Everyone wants me to find a way back, so I suppose I get to walk down that road for now."

"Do you want to walk that road? I would imagine being in a technological body in this day in age would be a tremendous advantage."

"I... don't know. But it seems like what I *should* do."

"You are the one who has to live with and in what you choose. Not many get the choice."

"Yeah, but I also have to deal with the expectations of others. Because other people have to live with my choice too."

"Only for so long as they are with you. Other people come and go, you are always you. Why not be a you you actually like?" she smiled.

"I came here not to judge you. Only to thank you, your ability is truly amazing to me and I appreciate the risk you put yourself through to help us."

"My... pleasure. More or less. I try to do what I can and occasionally it works out."

"That is what I like to believe we all try to do here." She make a small bow.

Natalie nods and then looks at her, "You said you have a tendency to destroy complex technology?"

"Yes, I have been through several devices since my arrival. It has been a bit 'trial and error' but I believe I have been able to spare my companion the same trouble. Using a stylus has cut down on the phenomena. Limits skin to technology contact."

"You must emit some sort of field that inhibits their working. Interesting. Maybe once I've got some of the other issues out of the way, I can take some readings and we can develop some sort of component shielding that would block it."

"If you can bridge the gap between magic and science that would be astonishing, but do not put yourself out. I have not not lost a device since returning and I believe Gemma still has her phone and tablet."

"Oh, I doubt it's magic," Natalie says, tapping her chin in thought, "But it's probably a problem for a later date."

Vivienne actually grinned. "Well, Fey lineage is the common connection Gemma and I share, I would be surprised if it was not our inherited magic causing the trouble, but it sounds like a challenge worthy of your talents."

"Fey you say?" She files the term away for later research. "We'll have to see. If I actually make it through the challenges currently ahead of me, it's one I wouldn't mind tackling."

"If you need anything from me at anytime just let me know. I will do what I can."

"I appreciate that. Usually when you start mentioning taking readings and running tests, people start looking for the door."

"I have encountered a similar reaction when I mention my parentage and place of birth. Besides, human science fascinates me, to me it is magic."
