The infirmary had let Brosh out with instruction to take a few days to recover from the psychic trauma before having a trained telepath help put things right. So, after his mid-afternoon snack, he decided to give this intelligence thing a whirl. Now in the workshop, he was busily working out a long equation on a big digital whiteboard. Also, randomly doodling his proper form on a flying surfboard.

He paused to scratch his head and proudly think aloud, "And Bro said this stuff was hard."

Charles was carrying a box of things to his own work area as he walked by Tosh's bench.

"Never knew that equation could be equal to 'ripping ankle breakers'," Charles said completely misusing surfer slang.

That's okay, Tosh doesn't actually know surfer slang anyway.

"Hey dude!" the shark-bro in a boy's body exclaimed with a grin, "Guess who's, like, totally smart right now?"

"Well, still Tosh," Charles joked. "But hopefully its Bruce because otherwise... this becomes pretty awkward."

"Bruce. A whole... thing... happened and Bro is kinda... asleep, so I'm minding the body."

"Well, try to remember he can't punch through walls," Charles said forcing a joke. "He's going to be alright though, right?"

"I feel like he will be. He's stronger than he thinks. Mentally. Physically? Well, he can barely push this thing," he said, pointing at the "whiteboard" that was essentially a giant touchscreen.

"Well, at least right now what counts is his mind," Charles said, "Why did you end up coming down here?"

"To fix his antigravity equation. It was too cautious," he said with a smirk and an unspoken "and..."

"You didn't come down here just to fix an equation," Charles said and he was honestly a bit surprised that Bruce could fix an equation.

"I thought doing the science thing might wake Sleeping Nerdy so he can win Haley back. She dumped him. Part of The Thing."

"Also, I want a hoverboard."

"That's... that'd be a lot to have happen to a person," Charles said sounding concerned. "Has messing with the equations um, stirred him at all? Don't mind giving you a hand with things. Not good with all of the stuff Tosh was working on, but second set of hands, eh?"

"Mind?" he laughed, "No dude. I'm, like, super bored right now. And I do think it's kinda sorta working."

"Kinda sorta?" Charles asked.

"He's not talking to me, but he's... well it's like he's asking for five more minutes before the school bus comes."

"That's usually when my folks would pull me out by my foot or send the dog in and close the door behind him," Charles said, "Though not sure how you'd go about doing that or how it'd work in this... situation."

"My... his...our mom just sprayed us with a water bottle. Pronouns are hard."

"Ooh! What if I shifted?"
