Isolde raps sharply on the doorframe of one of the labs as she makes her way in.

"I need the fish-boy."

"Over here!" Tosh called from the other side of some scientific equipment of unknown purpose.

"How fast do you think you could get me someone's hospital records?" She asks, getting right down to business as she walks over.

His brow practically rose off of his face.

"Uhh... ahem... Assuming you have a good reason and don't want me to go to prison... well, still not long."

"Here's my reason," she says, holding out her phone with a particular news story loaded.

"I need to know if she's healing faster than she ought to."

"You want to be sure this isn't a werewolf thing?" he surmised after reading.

"Consider the trouble she's going to go through if it is."

"I understand completely. Consider me on the case. So let's go find... no, wait, I'll need to use my computer and probably not the school network at all. Minamida wouldn't approve anyway. Do you want to come with or...?"

"You lead on. I need to know before the next moon. For obvious reasons."

"Well then, to the nearest public WiFi we go."

With a werewolf watching, Tosh opened up a few tools on his laptop and began finding a way into the Doctor Mackinnon Memorial Hospital's servers. Had the goody two shoes done this kind of thing before?

The servers aren't terribly well-secured, behind on their patches and the hospital is remote enough that it looks like no one thinks they'll be a target. Even if he's never done this before, a couple of searches in darker places of the internet give him the instructions he needs. It takes some time, but he eventually has all the database access he thinks he needs.

"I suppose this is the part where you say 'I'm in' with a gravely voice and flip your shades down?"

"Well I can't now," he quipped back in feigned disappointment.

He began searching the system for a patient named Lydia Stanford.

Finding her records isn't terribly difficult. It's a small hospital. She also doesn't seem to have much of a medical history at the hospital, though that could just be because she hasn't had many serious injuries. He finds her address, though it doesn't mean a lot to him.

Pulling the doctors and nurses notes is a bit more enlightening and even helps him find the location of the pictures of her injuries. Probably good he hasn't been eating because they're kind of graphic. The notes seem to indicate that her prognosis is uncertain. They're not entirely sure how she's holding on as well as she is with the injuries. Despite that, the notes don't seem to indicate any sort of miraculous healing or recovery.

One of the nurse's notes indicate a strange pattern to one of the injuries with reference to a photograph, but that note has a follow-up from a doctor indicating the pattern is coincidence along with a request to strike the nurse's note from the patient's record. The image doesn't appear to be readily accessible.

"Nothing here that screams werewolf, but there may yet be something if I can track down this mentioned photo."

He attempted to search for a probable location for the image, starting with her primary doctor's recent files.

"...they might not be feeding her enough," she muses.

Patient records indicate that she's being fed intravenously since she's not conscious.

Nothing for the image immediately turns up and he has to bounce around a bit to even find a trashed copy. It's tough to recreate, but doing his best, he comes up with an image of the injury in question. It's a bit distorted due to the reconstruction from being deleted, but it looks like, among the other injuries, there's a pattern of some kind. Might be three interlocking circles or three interlocking triangles. It's flesh and, if it was intentional, it's not particularly precise.

"I don't know about werewolf, but that's definitely odd. You ever seen anything like that before?"

"...there's Celtic symbols like that. Norse, too."

"And the significance... is?"

"Triple-goddesses, most often."

"Not just that little redheaded tart, before you ask."

"Curious... but do you still think there's a bad hair day in her near future?"

"Unfortunately, I know a person who just might put some stock in carving that into a woman."

"Let me guess, this person is a werewolf," he said.

"Careful you don't cut yourself with wit like that."

"But yes. One of my... children."

"Well shit. Your worries are confirmed aren't they?"

"He'd told me he was going to be in the UK. I don't know what his game is, here."

Tosh began logging out of the server.

"So what do we do now?"

"...well, how do you feel about Scotland?"

"Better than I feel about Ireland."

"I feel like I'm missing something, here."

"I went back in time and met Finn McCool... one thing led to another and he vowed to kill me if I get in his way again."

"And now he's locked up, and in Ireland their eyes are glued to smartphones just like anywhere else."

"Only the former of which he can blame me for."

"Anyway, we probably ought to actually go there, no? If you want to bow out, I won't think less of you."

"That depends... Would I actually be able to help?"

"There's potentially one or more werewolves running about for unknown purposes."

"Right. So it's my brawny side you might need? I can handle that. I'm in."

"Not ruling out your technical side, but Eric isn't going to make it easy for us, if he's there."

"Just... try to keep me from ending up wolfy. My brain is complicated enough as it is."
