To Me, My X-Men

The site of the recently restored Braddock Lighthouse. Aircraft hangars and other X-Men facilities, including a Cerebra unit and the Danger Room have been constructed around the foundations of the lighthouse.

Will and Ryan had taken over the briefing room in the point, where they were squinting and trying to map the ongoing dimensional drifts, trying to find a pattern.

"How can the sauna just vanish. It's supposed to be right thwhoops, no, now it's in the kitchen. I hope everyone's fine with cold cuts tonight."

"Could cook up the deer meat in the sauna," Haley suggested, looking up from a tablet, trying to read anything she could find about dimensional travel and breaches that the X-teams had in their database to be a bit less useless and also distract herself from this mess.

Haley opened her mouth as if to speak and then stopped several times before starting, "I'm still hazy on exactly what happened, but somehow our Will got split in half, and the two halves don't like each other, and they just fought each other for the right to be called Will."

"...I swear, I'm not high or drunk."

"Well, the network is just about useless at the moment. Satellite connection is keeping us tethered to the internet for the most part, but we keep running into stretches of the dish disappearing. I don't have eyes on anything beyond the Point and I'm hesitant to try, because even emails are getting messed up. And to top it off I keep getting hammered by nonsensical signals originating from, as far as I can tell, nowhere at all." Ashlie says as she walks into the room.

Gideon had stepped into the briefing room through a seemingly unconnected door at least to him. It had been a while since he'd been in the briefing room. He walked up to Madrox the most familiar person to him at that moment catching a part of the conversation. To Haley it was as if a much younger version of Professor Rede had stepped into the room.

"I'm not John, but I can offer a set of hands," Gideon said quietly to Madrox as he looked around the room. Full of people who looked familiar, but not and not necessarily in a good way.

Gideon raised an eyebrow, but moved towards Tosh. There were a lot of terrified people on this campus, or campuses based on what was on the screens in the room, and it was starting to give him a headache.

"Seems like I'm your help," Gideon said looking at Tosh. "You wanted to make a transceiver, something we can use to filter the different dimensions signal traffic."

"Alright. Our tech guys should go with the robot, and try to get something up and running so we can figure out what we're facing.

Everyone else should come with me, and we'll patrol the borders and make sure we're not under attack -- we're distracted and disoriented, so this is a perfect time for one of our enemies to make an assault. Perhaps they even caused it to begin with."

"Hold up -- we have a bunch of scared people on campus. A lot of these people are kids; we even have high schoolers here. Our first priority should be calming them down -- we don't seem to be in any immediate danger, so getting the campus, or what's left of it, under control makes more sense. With a bunch of mutants with limited control of their powers running around on adrenaline, we could make this situation much worse before we make it any better."
