Whiskey Business

[John Hino]

While everyone was taking a breather, John took Bobby aside for a chat.

"You mentioned board meetings. I take it you have your own company as well?"

[Bobby Bowen]

“I do. I got lucky with my car modding business. The style caught on, and before you know it I have an opinion on the estate tax. We overtook Shelby in market share last year.”

[John Hino]

"I run Tortoise. We're no Stark-Fujikawa, but we're catching up. We've really grown since we were HDT. Faster than I ever dreamed really."

[Bobby Bowen]

“It’s it’s comforting to know good business sense can cross dimensions as well. Cheers.”

Bobby poured two fingers each, and raised his glass to the big green mogul.

[John Hino]

He raised his glass and tapped it against Bobby's, the action causing his wedding band to glint in the same harsh workshop lighting. "Cheers," he said before drinking.

[Bobby Bowen]

“You settled down, I see. Any regrets?” He asked.

“I mean, there will be regrets. Have you hit that part yet?”

[John Hino]

"Between my career and Bear's humanitarian work, we don't see each other as much as we'd like. But that's it as far as regrets go. After almost two decades of marriage that's pretty good, huh?"

[Bobby Bowen]

Bobby chuckled. “And how many girls on the side?”

[John Hino]

"None," he said with a brief frown. "Not that none have tried to get into my pocketbook."

[Bobby Bowen]

“Well, you’re a more virtuous man than me, congrats. But keep your eyes open. They’re always pecking at your periphery.”
