"...What, do you have to be bitten by various radioactive animals?"

[Toshiro Narumi]

He laughed. "Nah. My best theory is that my power takes its cues from my personal relationships. The shark is undoubtedly created from my surfer dude cousin. And the ferret is likely due to my Texan ex-girlfriend, though far more loosely. Judging by the pattern so far, my next ought to be something pudgy or something wolfish."

[Mitch Davis]

"Perhaps both?"

[Toshiro Narumi]

"That would probably get me in hot water with my wolf shifter girlfriend," he chuckled.

[Mitch Davis]

"...This is a weird place, isn't it?"

[Toshiro Narumi]

"You have no idea," he grinned.

"So what's your weird? That's why we're here after all."

[Mitch Davis]

"What, missing a hand isn't weird enough?" Mitch laughed.

"No, I'm a teleporter. Kinda."

[Toshiro Narumi]

"Is that as useful as it sounds?"

[Mitch Davis]

"That entirely depends on how useful it sounds."

[Toshiro Narumi]

"Very," he answered.

Tweaking one last thing, he added, "Try moving your hand now."

Mitch flexed his fingers, watching as each of them responded in turn.

"You're a miracle worker, Tosh."

[Toshiro Narumi]

"Tech just comes naturally to me," he said humbly as he closed up the access panel. "Two out of three mes at least. Bruce the shark isn't smart enough."

"Yes. I named them."

[Mitch Davis]

"...So, they're, like not you, then? Different personalities?"

[Toshiro Narumi]

"They're ultimately me, but they do have their own personalities. You already met the tiny cowboy."

[Mitch Davis]

"Huh. Very strange. I can't imagine having different personalities in my head."

[Toshiro Narumi]

"It's not so bad. Sometimes even comforting having a personal cheering section. But I had to put my mental foot down when they started talking to each other."

[Mitch Davis]

"Yeah, I can see how that would be...disconcerting," Mitch said, diplomatically.

[Toshiro Narumi]

"They don't talk to me in my head as much as they used to either. Probably healthier, but I miss it sometimes."

[Mitch Davis]

"Not a lot of people to talk to you out here, then?" Mitch smirked.

[Toshiro Narumi]

"There aren't that many students that use the workshops, no," he chuckled. "But really it's more that I was shy and unconfident and the part of me that's Bruce was there to build me up."

"You're totally still shy Bro."

"Look at me, talking to you like your a psychiatrist," he chuckled awkwardly.

[Mitch Davis]

"Yeah...

I'd best get going. This hand's already cost me enough time today; I've gotta get in and get sorted."
