He released her and stepped back.

"He seems to think he killed you," he said with a melancholic smile, "You should probably talk that out with him when there's more time for such things."

"So we've got the real headmaster, which would be lovely if we had the time to reinstate her."

"But her replacement has buggered off with what is probably weaponized MGH and intends to activate every British citizen's X-gene."

"Which is frustratingly unresponsive to bureaucratic maneuvering, considering he did this after we tried to take him down the proper way."

"Which is likewise why we have an excitable Canadian boy building a crude fertilizer bomb as we speak."

"That about cover everything?"

"That and we don't have powers," Chase said, "Except the new guy over there is still huge and beastly. And Miriam is still a vampire."

"I do believe the proper way is now 'punch him in the face and steal his lunch money'.

I don't...think Lippencott is going to be a problem once we get in, so we just need a way to make sure the, uh, bomb gets to where it needs to go and blows up. That means getting around the Point's defenses, and around Quinn.

The latter may be able to be distracted; the former may need to be bypassed, somehow."

Will looked back over to ASHLIE.

"I...I figured 'letting you go' was more of a euphemism."

"What about the power suppression tech in holding? Do we have any collars or anything portable?" Tosh asked.

"You did the right thing." Ashlie smiles at Will. "We'll talk."

"And there are and never will be prison collars stored here, as unfortunate as that might seem at the current time. I'm aware of most of the situation now, I believe, thank you Samantha. Tosh, see if we can pry some of those wall panels off and get enough access to hack Lippincott's defenses. As for Mister Quartermaine you might have to improvise. His power profile is as versatile as it is unpredictable."

"I'll get right on it," Tosh answered, going to get the tools they'd need. He was relieved not to feel the need to try and lead the band of rebels.

[Leo Eskandari]

Leo stepped forward, cracking his knuckles, "I'll be happy to help keep them busy."

His horns were definitely smaller and his face had just started to revert. His usefulness was on a timer.

Speaking of excitable Canadians, the young man returned carrying a loaf pan from the kitchen, wearing a couple of oven mitts as if that were adequate protection from it's contents.

"Okay, this should be enough time for it to set and firm up. We just need to..." There was a pause when he saw the newcomer who bore a striking resemblance to the former headmistress.

Victor pointed at Will with one of his oven-mitt hands. "He said it was a good idea."

[Emilie]

"Woooooooooooow." Emilie commented, following up behind Victor.

"Way to talk yourself out of a cuddle party, ya fuckin' narc."

[Ashlie Minamida]

Ashlie leans in close to Vic and his pan of explosives. And takes a deep sniff as if he was carrying brownies and not a volatile chemical mixture.

"Well done, Mister Freud. Not the attempted framing, just the chemistry work."

Victor received his praise with a smile before looking back at Em.

"You're just mad 'cause you didn't get to tell on me first."

Tosh pried open a wall panel with a flat-edged tool and proceeded to expose a few wires, which he began to connect to a nearby workstation computer via a complicated-looking adapter.

"Lupin wouldn't pull that shit on a jobmate." Emilie murmured to Vic.

"Welcome back Big Boss."

"Sure he would, if he knew none of them were gonna get in trouble."

[Will Stanton]

Will scratched his chin, in thought, and then frowned.

"Stubble."

"...I mean, trouble. That we'll be making. For them. We'll have to stay on our toes, but it sounds like we've got the basics of a plan. If anyone's not comfortable with the risks of going in powerless, stay here, and lock the doors behind us."

Ever since he and Sam had disappeared into the back room, he seemed a little more...leaderly?

"I mean, I'm bringing the cake so I'm definitely going."

[Miriam Bell]

"How come when she says shite like that it just sounds righteous and when I do the mental backwash's just 'vindictive bitch'?" Miriam sighs.

[Robin Stanton]

"Cause War Goddess?" Robin shrugs as she pretends to push up her sleeves and instead winces when she tries to squish regular skin. "Damnit! Curse this flabby yet rigid body!"

[Will Stanton]

"How come when she says shite like that it just sounds righteous and when I do the mental backwash's just 'vindictive bitch'?" Miriam sighs.

"You just need to learn to use your vindictive bitch powers for good," Will nodded, mock seriously.

"Alright. Let's roll."

[Victor Freud]

Victor looked to Em with a little smile. "Did you remember to bring yer bat?"

"Oh no.

"All ready for digital warfare! Good luck you guys!" Tosh announced as he wormed his way into the network.

[Victor Freud]

"Thanks! If you don't hear from us in like an hour... does this place have a self-destruct? Either way, seeya!"

None of Tosh's regular access codes would work, of course, as access to the Point had been severely restricted by Lippencott. However, Tosh did have an entryway -- he had to have access to the computers because of his work with the prototype car of the future, so he did have access to the network itself -- a rarity under the recent administration.

That didn't, in and of itself, include access to the security system, but get a foot in the door, and you can see what else you can kick...

Tosh cracked his knuckles before beginning his work finessing his way into security and disabling whatever defenses he could. The excitement of the digital battle would, sadly, be lost on anyone but Natalie and Ashlie.
