According to the now commandeered security, a bronze coloured 2012 Volvo S60 T5 had come speeding out from the road onto the grounds like a bat out of hell, though it was being driven rather well for the speeds involved. One probably wouldn't recommend some of the terrain the driver was taking said vehicle over however.

And like the lamest cavalry that had ever been called in, CatMan and The Invisible Simp came off-roading across campus.

At least, that's what they were before they stepped out of the vehicle. Once they had, Basil immediately started coughing on residual gas left over from the attack, which the pair was getting a weakened dosage off the moment they pulled into the University's driveway through the car's ventilation system.

Colette was in one of her calmer states, her mood swinging back and forth between relative serenity and overcome with emotion. Chisaki had been instrumental in helping to stretch out the calm times and shorten the less-than-calm times. Still, the girl was a mess. Her eyes and cheeks were red from crying, her hair was a mess, her clothes were dirty from laying in the grass. Definitely not looking her best. Instead of going inside with the others they'd opted to stay outside for the fresh air, which the former goo-girl was now taking to like a fish to water. Well that's one skill learned today.

"... did he really keep a random cat zat he found?" Apparently it was taking her some time to be convinced of this. She didn't think Basil liked cats. But had they ever really talked about pets?

[Chisaki Watanabe]

"I do not know if he kept it, I only know that he found one." She offered in return. "It is a big cat. Perhaps the biggest cat I have seen."

[Colette Rosenhof]

"He showed you? Or did you find it wiz him?"

[Chisaki Watanabe]

Chisaki didn't answer the question.

Instead she pointed.

"Look, Benson-Senpai is here..."

[Colette Rosenhof]

Colette covered her face in her hands, trying to hide herself behind Chisaki. Apparently she was still self-conscious about her appearance.

Diego made it a few steps before falling screaming to the ground as his lower legs and feet rapidly shifted to normal human ones, albeit with small half-formed claws and a teeny tiny tuft of jaguar fur. His hands likewise became mostly human.

"Shiiit! What the hell is this?!"

Now that Basil was here for Colette, Chisaki came out to help Diego, brushing his curls out of his face as the now MostlyRegularMan rested on the ground.

"There must be enough of the gas left to still be effecting the gene..."

[Diego Zapata]

"That hypocritical fucker..." he groaned, looking at her with regular brown human eyes.

[Chisaki Watanabe]

"It is temporary. We will be back to the old way soon enough.

We have to figure out what to do in the mean time.... The Teams are inside discussing that."

[Colette Rosenhof]

Hearing Diego scream brought Colette to her feet, her empathy for another student trumping her nervousness, so now she was fully revealed. What stood before Basil's gaze was not the Colette he knew, and maybe not the one he pictured in his head if he had ever imagined her without the goopyness. It was quite likely that she was more easily recognizable as being related to her mother than as Colette, subtle differences brought about presumably by her father's genetics. Brown hair, brown eyes, modest figure, how very... average.

Of course in her eyes, Basil looked as he ever did. In a panic of course, but that was a good 25% of the time anyway. The real difference was that others could see him the way she did.

"Should we join them? Though I'm not sure plain old dork me would be that much help."

[Basil Benson]

For his part, Basil didn't give a flying fuck about the gassing of himself. He was only concerned about Colette's safety. As such, he made a bee-line, sputtering violently the whole way.

By the time he stood before her, he was incredibly disoriented and completely visible.

But he knew who his Madame was, no matter what suit she donned.

"Colette...." He stated, standing a bit wobbly infront of the goo girl now trapped in her flesh and bone prison.

Colette bit her bottom lip and brushed some of her wavy brown hair away from her face as she fidgeted.

"Ehm... taa-daa?" Even her voice sounded different, not as high a pitch.

[Chisaki Watanabe]

"We are all plain old dorks now." Chisaki pointed out.

[Basil Benson]

Basil let off a sigh of relief. She wasn't bleeding or showing any Signs of damage.

Well, other than the whole not gelatinous thing.

"Come. I'll take you home."

[Colette Rosenhof]

"Home? But... should we not stay and help? Basil, zis Lippincott person, he is going to try and turn everyone in ze UK into a mutant."

Despite the fact Basil was at least temporarily capable of displaying a full range of emotions, at the idea that they were needed, Basil was a sort of calm and collected cold Colette was very much not a fan of.

He continued to stand stiffly next to her, and did not bridge the gap between them as he otherwise might.


"I will of course do whatever you ask of me.... but I would ask you to keep in mind that I was not really of use even when I did have my.... 'powers'. " The emphasis he put on the word was strange. Like he was back sliding on his progress in this area.

"It is difficult for me to understand how I could be of use now when I am even more mundane than before. "

Colette didn't like when Basil was like this, but at the same time... she couldn't exactly say that he was wrong. His powers were useful in ways he didn't yet fully appreciate yes but right now he was about as "useful" as she was in the situation. Which wasn't very. Really the only thing she could do was...

"... come. We are going to ze Manor."

[Basil Benson]

Basil furrowed his brow.

"Why?"

[Colette Rosenhof]

Colette turned and looked at Basil with her hands clasped together.

"Because an army marches on zeir stomachs. And any time zat ze teams are not zinking about going to get somezing to eat, or preparing ze medbay for casualties, zey are instead spent preparing a solution."

[Basil Benson]

"Yes, Madame." He answered, a smile playing across his face as he bowed his head to the side.

[Diego Zapata]

"We are all plain old dorks now." Chisaki pointed out.

"Point. Let's go," he said, starting to get up, "Assuming I can remember how to walk on regular feet."

[Chisaki Watanabe]

"Just like a bicycle." Chisaki encouraged, offering her arm to help.

[Diego Zapata]

He supported himself on her as he took a few exploratory steps.

"Right... riding a bike..." he said, hopping along as if on hot coals until finding his stride. "Ha! Whaddya know, you're right!"

[Chisaki Watanabe]

Chisaki grins. "Yes. I am always right.

You would do well to remember this, Diego-Senpai."

[Diego Zapata]

"Remember what?" he smirked as he started walking on his own.
