[Plot] Well, what if there is no tomorrow?

[Miriam Bell]

"You're... right." she says, making an odd face as she feels her teeth with her tongue.

Miriam let's herself fall back to the ground, just stares up at the domed ceiling and starts laughing. Slowly, almost hesitantly at first but soon she's lieing on the ground, tears of laughter running from the corners of her eyes.

"You are unbelievable. Not only did you actually jump in after me, you absolute mad-woman, but you pull me out more alive then before..."

[Samantha McManus]

"What's the point in being a death-goddess if you can't play favorites?"

[Victor Freud]

"So, there was some kind of...time guy, I guess. One of those monsters, like we saw attacking the town? But this one controlling time. He apparently grabbed you and stuffed you in here, and was trying to access your power to do....something. To access the Quantum Realm, maybe? Only it wasn't working, and we kept coming down here to try to stop him. But somehow, it kept...resetting everything. Looping back to the beginning and trying again once it failed. Some kind of Groundhog Day scenario or something; I'll have to try to investigate that a little more."

Victor rubbed his eyes with his palms and moaned. "Ugh, not time travel. Time travel is always a bad idea. You know the only good thing anyone ever does with time travel? Fixing screw ups caused by other people time-traveling.

"... I legit have no idea how I got in here."

[Miriam Bell]

"What's the point in being a death-goddess if you can't play favorites?"

"I'm sure that can't possibly have any consequences. Maybe I'll start blaming you when things go wrong for me. Some kind of karmic backlash you've surely shouldered me with." Well, for all the laughing and good feelings she's still very much Miriam.

[Will Stanton]

Victor rubbed his eyes with his palms and moaned. "Ugh, not time travel. Time travel is always a bad idea. You know the only good thing anyone ever does with time travel? Fixing screw ups caused by other people time-traveling.

"... I legit have no idea how I got in here."

"I'm not so much of a fan myself," the man from the future deadpanned.

"As for how you got here? Not a clue. Kidnapped in your sleep, I guess. I"ll try to figure out if we ever figured it out."

[Victor Freud]

"No kidding. I didn't really get to see much of it, it's... the water's murky when you're small. But it looked like you were getting the brunt of it. I'm fuggin' exhausted, I can't imagine how tired you must be.

"... it is over, right?"

[Will Stanton]

"I'm...tired, yeah, let's go with that," Will dodged. "But it does appear to be over. And I think I see the clasp to get us out of this thing; I don't know how the telepaths stand being submerged like this."

[Victor Freud]

"Count yourself lucky you don't have lungs." Victor covered his mouth as he let out a wet cough. "I thought that this goop only worked on telepaths, I didn't realize it was, like, power-booster serum or whatever." At least he hoped that was the explanation for why he'd managed to be able to go so far. The idea that he could get that small, on purpose or by accident... it just further reinforced his fear.

"Honestly, if you can get us out of here, then I can probably help with... all of this... somehow." Yeah, he still didn't really understand what was going on outside.

[Will Stanton]

"Alright, hang on. Opening the hatch in one, two..."

With a *sploosh*, the Cebera capsule opened, as did Will. That left Vic to be washed out with the goo onto the floor along with all the dead bodies. As for Will himself, he remained skewered to the capusle itself, pierced there by the remains of the Titan.

[Toshiro Narumi]

Bruce sat up and looked around.

"So... uhh... what are we gonna do with all the dead us-es?"

[Miriam Bell]

"Burn them or melt them down in acid and never speak of this again." Miriam decides. She's trying to sound dismissive and pragmatic but it's also very obvious she's avoiding looking at the corpses in general and hers in particular.

[Victor Freud]

Free of the Cerebra (and Will's compact bubble) and no longer being pulled down by an unseen force he didn't understand, Victor was able to get back to normal pretty quickly. And from experience, he waited until after the goop had waned and settled, so that his clothes were only slightly damp instead of completely drenched. The scene before him was pretty grisly, but it looked like there was at least one of everyone present who was alive and well.

"Right, well... guess I'll start stackin'. Someone did text the headmistress or something, right?"

[Will Stanton]

"Save the clay," Will called. "I'll handle that."

[Miriam Bell]

"You're not seriously thinking about shoving that back into the mirror, are you?"

[Will Stanton]

"You can dispose of your corpses the way you wish..." Will said, in a cautioning voice.

[Victor Freud]

"I suppose it wouldn't be a good idea... 'scure me." Victor had to turn sideways to keep a Tosh's legs from bumping into Will as he passed. ".., wouldn't be good to just absorb that stuff, 'cause it's full of stray chronitrons or something', huh? I dunno, I don't get how any of this stuff works. Time travel, magic, super-science..." He was more muttering to himself than actually talking to anyone as he busied himself by stacking up corpses and body parts to one side like cords of firewood.

[Will Stanton]

"Not as is, for sure," Will said, with a bob that maybe meant a nod? Possibly?

"But I want to know more about what happened here, and we're low on witnesses," he said, with a slight hitch in his voice.

[Miriam Bell]

"I'm not going to tell you what to do. I just can't imagine wanting to remember every grueling iteration of... this. I'm certainly glad I don't."

[Will Stanton]

"We have been...visited...by three of these things. I do not want to be caught off guard by the fourth," he said as an excuse.

[Samantha McManus]

"Oh for heaven's sake," Sam says, getting up and walking over to tug the shard of the thing out of Will gingerly.

[Toshiro Narumi]

Tosh became Kabuto, mostly for the muted sense of smell, and began to move a Sam.

"Justice is messy work."

[Victor Freud]

"Eh, it's just like being back on the farm."

[Will Stanton]

"Oh for heaven's sake," Sam says, getting up and walking over to tug the shard of the thing out of Will gingerly.

Will gasped a little as Sam pulled the shard out, bouncing to the floor once or twice before reforming on the ground.

"C-careful with that, it's evidence," he said, flashing a bit of a smile.

[Samantha McManus]

"Aye well, it doesn't have to stay lodged in my friend, does it?"

[Will Stanton]

"O-of course not," Will nodded, gathering himself up. "And so I solemnly promise I will not shove it into Miriam to make sure she's not still a vampire," he added with a joke.

[Miriam Bell]

"Yes, no thank you. I already feel like I've been fucked by that thing more than enough."

[Will Stanton]

"Subtext, Bell," Will muttered, turning to look at the pile of dead bodies.

[Miriam Bell]

"There's a time to be subtle and that time is not when I'm occupying the same space as dozens of corpses, many of them mine."

[Victor Freud]

"So, like... what's this all about anyway?" Victor asked, totally out of the loop. "Like, some former student who flunked out is sending ghost golems after us? Because reasons?"

[Samantha McManus]

"It didn't have much of a mind, but... it needed you to open a door."

"To Li Ban, it said."

[Victor Freud]

Victor thought that over for a moment.

"... so, you know anything about this Li Ban guy? I'm thinking I've now on the need to know list considering they tried to make me singularity myself."

[Samantha McManus]

"Well, she's part of the Cuchulainn myth. Magical lady from a hidden realm. She tries to jump his bones, ends up cursing him. Tends to happen with a lot of ladies he meets."

[Victor Freud]

Victor nodded softly. "Hey, Sam? I know now is not necessarily the best time, but do you think you could tell me more about this woman sometime? Like, how she works, more of her lore... can she travel here herself?"

[Samantha McManus]

"I mean, I know the stories... from various perspectives. But this shite blindsides me a lot too."

[Victor Freud]

"I wanna hear 'em. All of 'em."

... that was weird.

[Samantha McManus]

"Aye well... let's clean up the mess first."

[Victor Freud]

Victor nodded and went back to work. "Yeah. Also, we should prooooooobably ring up the headmistress too... I thought she had eyes everywhere, I'm surprised she hasn't shown up yet on account of all of this... mess. Oh, and the school counselor."
