Ashlie nods. "I considered asking her to this meeting but I was worried she might take it as a confrontation."

"That was probably the right call, especially with all of the others in attendance. No, I'll talk to her myself. And if she's able to share anything more, you'll be the first and only one to know."

"That sounds like a good plan. I'll be busy for the foreseeable future, but if she wants to talk to me, I'll find the time."

"Yeah, I can only imagine. Building a submarine takes more than an afternoon."

"You'd be surprised. Though I suppose a lot depends on Will." she smirks ever so slightly.

Victor raised a hand. "Addendum; building a submarine that I will ride in takes more than an afternoon."

"We will not rush this." she reassures Victor. "And frankly, it's good to have a critical voice in the room. That too is part of the science of it all."
