Just A Little Willpower

The site of the recently restored Braddock Lighthouse. Aircraft hangars and other X-Men facilities, including a Cerebra unit and the Danger Room have been constructed around the foundations of the lighthouse.

Just A Little Willpower

Considering all the odd ways people had to communicate at a Mutant university, the comparative banality of an e-mail was surprisingly mundane. Then again, not every e-mail called for a meeting in a super-advanced holographic imaging chamber deep in the bowels of an advanced experimental laboratory. Not every corporation has one of those, after all.

It appears that Ashlie and Will Stanton had been working on some ideas for Lisette's 'conversational intelligence' plan. They were still very, very much in the early design phases, but they had had some concepts and ideas that were worth testing out and bouncing off of people -- enough to commandeer the Danger Room for the day. The holographic interface would allow them to quickly generate and dismiss specs, working together to try to figure out just how this thing would work both in theory and practice.

Lisette knew Ashlie, of course (boy, did she ever), but she had not yet had the pleasure of meeting Will, Ashlie's...secretary? Personal assistant? Confidant? It was sort of unclear what role they had, but Ashlie seemed to trust them well enough. And unlike Heather, they had not yet attempted to assault them with heavy industrial equipment, so that had to put at least one positive marker in the books.

By the time Lisette arrived, Will would already be there, with their hair back in a tight ponytail for working, wearing a black pencil skirt and white blouse, holding a clipboard, with a pencil tucked behind their ear. They were standing there, talking to...well, it looked like Will again; this one wearing just a black and red leotard, optimized for freedom of movement and shifting, with the number 3 stenciled in white on their shoulder. That particular Will as going through some warm-up stretches, limbering up as they awaited the arrival of the smart people.
