Tosh was in the physics lab, adjusting settings on the equipment he was using as a Bioelectrical Field Scanner as he waited for his volunteer assistant. Incredibly nerdy music was playing.

"Remind me again why are we doing this?" Charles asked entering the lab and grabbing some possibly unnecessary PPE from the entrway.

"Well, that's good because I'm not quite shock proof," Charles said walking over to the equipment and helping with setting up the equipment and making sure it also was on rubber mats to avoid damage to the equipment. "So... ever really thought you'd be experimenting on yourself?"

"So, yeah, after I shift just follow the diagram for sensor placement," he said, pointing to the marked up image of Bruce on his laptop, "Then get back and turn on the machine."

"Oh yah doncha worry now Dr.Sven here will handle everything," Charles said dipping deep into his Minnesotan accent, which was very odd because who thinks of a Norwegian mad scientist? "Dr. Ole will have a hot dish ready and everything when you get past the whole giant shark thing yanno."

Charles looked at the map and then placed the electrodes onto Bruce.

"No swimming for 30 minutes after being mapped," Charles said before walking back over to the controls. "Ready?"

"Yessss, the svitch," Charles said before well turning on the machinery so Bruce/Tosh could get the diagnostic data.

Bruce charged up, his solid membranes glowing a brightening blue. The monitor shows increased electrical activity primarily in his chest which feeds current into his jaws. Weaker currents also flow into the membranes on his hands and feet.

"I have the power!"

Bruce groaned with effort and began glowing even brighter.

Charles stared at the readouts looking for new feeds to see if maybe there were even more places that Bruce/Tosh could channel his abilities down.

"Well, this is why we set-up all the grounds, eh?" Charles asked.

Nothing new lit up, though the pathways became much clearer. Then a bolt leaped from Bruce to the ceiling, creating a tiny scorch mark.

"Looks like we've got a pretty good map," Charles said apparently not noticing the scorch mark or the lightning bolt probably because he was intently staring at a screen.

Another bolt struck a light fixture, exploding into a shower of sparks and glass.

Charles' body was continuing to shift and spikes began protruding from his body.

"Like..." he said, looking around, "A big metal p... oh! That!"

He pointed at a ridged pole bolted to the floor. He rushed to it, electrodes tearing away, and grabbed it. Arcs of electricity dramatically poured into it and his charge was grounded.
