I2: A Grand Unsummoning ((Open))

[Sean Hall]

Sean hadn't partaken in the fighting directly after handing out the golems. Instead hoping to regain his strength for what he expected would require... quite a large expenditure of energy. Now with the teams, and a few unfortunate people who'd fought a water pixie, having returned with the invading creatures he was ready to begin.

At the moment he sat in the middle of the room gathering his focus for the feat he was about to attempt. Though perhaps he looked a bit less than wizardly at the moment wearing jeans, a plaid button up shirt, and work boots. Hopefully nobody had been expecting a pointed hat and cloak.

[Carlos Vasquez]

Carlos backed the van just outside of the lighthouse, the sounds of the redcaps inside quite noticeable.

"What else do you need?"

[Sean Hall]

"Just all of they fey within about 10 meters of me," Sean said then dryly added, "And a bottle of whiskey to help cure the headache I'm going to get from doing this."

[Carlos Vasquez]

"That's perscribed in your magical tomes?" Carlos said, in a voice dripping with sarcasm.

[Sean Hall]

"You certainly do take the piss out of things," Sean said evenly.

[Carlos Vasquez]

"It's been a long day."

[Sean Hall]

"Aye, and it'll be over after I open a hopefully one-way portal to send a pestilence of pixies back to their home dimension using sheer force of will and channeling energies that will hopefully not fry my body to a crisp," Sean said.

[Carlos Vasquez]

"You're making half that up to sound cooler, aren't you."

[Sean Hall]

"You're right, I'm not really sure if pestilence is the right term for a group of pixies," Sean said, "Just seemed appropriate."

[Nailah Weaver]

Meanwhile Nailah was helping drag a case full of chattering Imps and encased in vomit-resin across the lawn. She doesn't look particularly thrilled about being in physical contact with it, but she's soldiering through it. When they finally get the case positioned next to the van she gives the thing a careful kick along with a dirty look. "One case of nasty monsters, enjoy."

[Sean Hall]

"Ah, what I've always wanted," Sean said not really sure what to make of the vomit-resin encased imps.

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

Vivienne arrived at the lighthouse with a sharp toothed humanoid trapped in a water orb.

"And the gifts keep coming. I believe this one was local, but it should find the Blight to its' liking."

[Sean Hall]

"Wonderful," Sean said, "Can you keep it trapped from a distance?"

[Haley Crusek]

"I think I could probably help keep some of the things trapped in place from a distance," Haley suggested, arms crossed as she stood in her uniform.

[Sean Hall]

"Fantastic because if they move it might get a bit... messy," Sean said, "Just need everybody to be outside of say 12 meters from me then to avoid getting sucked into another dimension then."

[Haley Crusek]

"...someone convert that to American for me?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"That's like 15 yards or so, I think. Bit less." Nailah says after backing off as far as her power tells her to and estimating how far away she ends up. No one said using your powers to cheat to look smart was a crime.

[Sean Hall]

Sean had done magic in front of a group of people all of zero times in his life. Having to do so now was starting to make him a little nervous.

"Bloody yanks holding onto the imperial system," Sean smiled weakly.

[Haley Crusek]

"Okay," Haley nodded, following Nailah's lead--she was smart about this stuff, right?

"Let me know when you're ready to start and I'll try to hold them all in place..." Haley said a bit distantly, already starting to focus her mind a bit to freeze the buggers with her TK

[Sean Hall]

"Seeing as all the deportees have arrived I think we'll get started now," Sean said to Haley before walking back towards a central point near the capture pixies.

[Sean Hall]

Sean closed his eyes for a moment and focused. The words came as they always did, words that fit the needs of the spell he was casting, but even after all these years he wasn't sure how he knew them.

He spoke the words and his eyes began to glow. Those around him could feel the wrongness of them as they heard them along with a dull pain. More words were said and those watching could smell ozone as the spell began to build. An arc of oddly colored electricity jumped from Sean to the ground.

An eerie wind picked up and Sean's tattoos began to glow. Symbols danced on his skin, symbols that made no sense, symbols that hurt the eyes to look at.

Sean spoke more words and reached one hand towards the sky. One circle then another appeared around it, small symbols rotating within. More magic gathered and now Sean's tattoos glowed like the noontime sun. The creatures began to glow in their cases of resin-vomit, in the van, and in their water sphere prison.

More words and Sean reached his other hand up into the air and with both hands made a tearing motion. Everybody could hear a tearing sound as Sean opened a portal between the dimensions, as he tore the veil the portal opened above him, and through it they could see the creatures home plane.

The next part was harder for Sean as he strengthened the portal to pull the creatures into it like a singularity. The portal grabbing hold of the creatures very essence. The creatures were pulled towards it passing through their containment towards the portal. After all the creatures had been pulled into the portal Sean said one more word as the creatures entered the portal.

<"Exile.">

With that word Sean slammed his hands closed. The portal slammed shut with a near deafening thunderclap. The glow faded from Sean's body as they spell ended and stood unmoving completely exhausted, body steaming from the energy he'd channeled to send the creatures back to their home plane.

[Nailah Weaver]

By the time the spell ends Nailah's mouth is hanging open, even the thunderclap only making her flinch backwards slightly, too stunned to really be startled.

"Holy. Moly." she whispers.

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

Vivienne moved to Sean's side.

"Here, drink this."

She held her hand over the ground and pulled pure water from the grass at her feet.

[Sean Hall]

Sean shook off the mental haze and cupped the water in his hands before drinking it.

"Thanks, Vivienne," Sean said, "Never thought I'd be doing something like that."

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"It was impressive and I suggest you not do it again any time soon. Do you require medical attention? That much raw power, while effective and impressive, is not good for your human body."

[Sean Hall]

Sean was pretty much uninjured just tired. Really not terribly worse for wear given all that had happened, which was perhaps a tad bit odd.

"Everything seems to be in working order," Sean said, "Bit knackered, but it's been a long day."

[Haley Crusek]

Haley's focus no longer required, she blinked a few times and turned to Nailah. "...this place gets weirder every day," she murmured softly. "Ask me a few weeks ago and I woulda said, no, don't be silly, magic isn't real..."

[Nailah Weaver]

"I know, right? It's awesome." she whispers back.

[Haley Crusek]

"So...can like anyone do that stuff then? Or do you have to go to Hogwarts or whatever the real equivalent is...?" she whispered.

[Nailah Weaver]

"I dunno. Why? You wanna be a pint-sized summoner?" she teases.

[Haley Crusek]

"Maybe I do...or maybe I just want a house elf-prepared breakfast and a date with Neville Longbottom," she giggled.

[Nailah Weaver]

"Pff, lazy!" she chuckles.

[Haley Crusek]

"I need to save my energy for Neville," she giggled.

"But for real though...I wonder if like. You or I could just like. Learn to do magic. I mean. You don't need a broom to fly, and I don't either, but there's probably other stuff that we could learn, right?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"I dunno. Pretty sure I can't learn how to do telepathy. Actually..." she pauses for a moment to turn her power onto the task of being able to read minds like Haley. She winces when her power responds with a sharp pain that she's come to recognize as the failure to find a viable path. "Oww, yeah, I didn't think so."

[Haley Crusek]

"What was that all about?" Haley asked, curious about her friend's wince.

[Nailah Weaver]

"Oh, nothing, don't worry about it." she waves it off.

[Haley Crusek]

Haley didn't push the subject--maybe she just had a migraine. Lord knows she got those all the time. "Well. Let me know if you decide to learn magic. I'll totally be your apprentice," she joked.

[Nailah Weaver]

"Pff, you're the one who can make things float already."
