I2DT: Tinkering

The site of the recently restored Braddock Lighthouse. Aircraft hangars and other X-Men facilities, including a Cerebra unit and the Danger Room have been constructed around the foundations of the lighthouse.

I2DT: Tinkering

Postby Sean Hall » Sat Nov 07, 2015 11:24 pm

The sound of light hammering could be heard through the open door of Sean's workshop. Inside Sean was hunched over his workbench carving a rune into a small square piece of metal. Next to him on the bench and on the floor were a around a dozen similar pieces that were blackened, twisted out of shape, or even shattered. The amount of magic floating around the room would probably make ones hair stand on end.

Sean tensed but thankfully didn't flinch, which probably would have resulted in yet another failed attempt and likely a fire to go along with it. Instead he looked at the plate carefully trying to find imperfections in his carvings.

"Enchantment," Sean said, "Or, well... bloody trying to figure out how to get it to work without burning down my workshop."

"I cannot really take all the credit. There was a Tear in the veil spilling forth a pestilence of pixies and other more violent magical creatures into the mortal realm," Sean said, "Given enough time it's likely something more potent would have made the tear into a gaping hole and decided that England would make a jolly good place to set up shop. I sealed the tear temporarily and banished the things that had come through back to their plane."

"None of which would be possible without the X-Men who captured the things, so I helped them save the country if we want to be more accurate."
