I2DT - In a Nutshell

The site of the recently restored Braddock Lighthouse. Aircraft hangars and other X-Men facilities, including a Cerebra unit and the Danger Room have been constructed around the foundations of the lighthouse.

I2DT - In a Nutshell

Postby Ashlie Minamida » Thu Nov 12, 2015 4:49 pm

There's a faint blue glow hanging over everything in the workshop from the holographic displays of all the workstations being turned on. They all display similar things, intersecting grids representing planes that bend and twist as rows of numbers change and pour down the display. Every workstation is displaying a different configuration as Ashlie stand in the middle of the room, turning her head from one to he other.

In the back of the room a circular section of grass sits among a collection of beacons and machinery. The results (Heather and Nina aside) of Rob's experiment. Ashlie has determined the physical location from which they had been pulled and is now trying to work out the specifics of the exact time. It's easy enough to determine the time down to the minute, but unfortunately that still leaves a pretty massive window when one is dealing with fluctuations based on fractions of a millisecond. But somewhere in there is a formula for calculating space-time curvature and she's going to find it. Or at least enough data-points to begin work on one.

Will knocked on the door.

"There was a note saying you wanted to see me, Ashley?"

Ashlie looks up at Will for a moment, a somewhat mechanical gesture that seems mostly for Will's benefit to inform him that she's noticed his presence.

"Ah, yes, come in Will. I'm just running some numbers right now."

"I won't even dignify that with a response." she smirks faintly. "But I didn't ask you here to discuss the merits of science. My search filters came across an interesting piece of news earlier." she says and one of the displays changes from dimensional calculations to that of a younger, brown-haired Will.

"Do you know that person?"

"The process involves super-heating the sample into plasma and forcing the mixture through a magnetic aperture of roughly one nanometer. I suppose it's theoretically survivable for someone like you, but no one bothered to test sample cohesion after the fact because the process is not exactly meant to measure entire objects or living organisms."
